Blog Tour w/Review - Steele

Image
Steele (Arizona Vengeance, Book #9) Sawyer Bennett Release Date: December 8, 2020   Synopsis: A second chance may be just what James Steele needs   ... I might be one of the older players on the Arizona Vengeance, but I like to think that also makes me one of the wisest. Or at least I used to.   Turns out, I’ve been a bit selfish. I’ve been married to hockey and my team for years, which hasn’t left much time for my actual wife, Ella. Now I’m juggling a separation I never wanted, the pressure of being a single dad to our teenage daughter, and the career I sacrificed it all for.   While my game on the ice might be on fire, the game in my personal life i s clearly lacking, as evidenced by the fact I just saw my wife on a date with another man. If I have any hope of saving the family I love, I need to re - prioritize, and fast. So it’s time for me to get back to fundamentals, just like I did when I learned ho w to play hockey. I’ve never backed down from a challenge, and

This is book #9, in the Arizona Vengeance series.   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader understanding, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this sexy series in order.   Steele wants to win his woman back.  He thought his marriage was over until he sees her our in public..... with another man.  Now he knows what he has to do.   Ella is afraid to be hurt again.  Feeling like your own husband cannot see you when he is in the same room made her feel devastated.  Can they repair the rift, or will they just stay friends?   Steele was so very hot, yet awesomely cool.  I found the story to be real, and at a good pace.  I loved the characters, and their daughter was a hoot!  There was some sizzling scenes, family drama, and even some puppy love.  I recommend this story since it was really good.  I give this a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!     ***This ARC copy was given in exchange for an honest review only.

Excerpt Reveal - Loverboy

Image
Loverboy (The Company #2) by   Sarina Bowen     Secrets, desires, and exquisite pie. It’s all in a day’s work at The Company. Growing up, I was the rough guy from the wrong neighborhood who couldn’t catch a break. Posy was the pampered girl I tried to impress. But all she gave me was a single kiss before I had to skip town. Now I’m back, and the tables are turned. Posy runs a struggling pie shop. I’m the VP of a secretive billion-dollar security company.    Not that I can tell her.   There’s a murderer on the loose in New York, and he seems to spend a lot of time at Posy’s shop. It’s my job to identify him before he can harm a hair on her pretty head. Going undercover as Posy’s new barista wasn’t my idea. I don’t even drink coffee. But now I have to call her “boss,” and do everything the curvy perfectionist asks of me. I’d forgotten how much we infuriate each other, and that she somehow fills me with both irritation and desire in the same breath.   There’s nobody

Blog Tour w/Review - Code Name: Rook

Image
Code Name: Rook  (Jameson Force Security, Book #6)  Sawyer Bennett  Release Date: October 27, 2020     Synopsis:     Being a highly skilled operative for a company like Jameson Force Security is exhilarating and important work…until it comes time to date. I like to keep my profession under wraps for a number of reasons. Some of what we do is top secret, most of what we do is dangerous, and more than one woman has tried to latch onto me because she was more enamored with what I do than who Cage Murdock really is. And since I’m more of a ‘here for the night’ than a ‘here for forever’ kind of guy, what’s the harm in a little white lie about my job? My harmless deceit has never failed me. Until now. Because I met the most amazing woman and did the unthinkable. I married her. And now my beautiful, unsuspecting, probably-going-to-leave-mysorry-behind-when-she-finds-out-the-truth wife doesn’t know that I’m not a used car salesman like I told her when we met. As it typically does

Treasure

Image
This is book #3, in the Deep Six series . This book can be read as a standalone.  For reader enjoyment, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading the series in the order intended.   Alexis wants Mason and she has made no secret of it.  Her uncontrollable attraction appears one sided, but he shows her repeatedly with though and deed that is not so.  Only they have to dodge attempts on their lives and search for treasure while keeping themselves apart.   Mason has no idea what to do with Alex.  One minute she is the smartest, most beautiful woman he has ever known, and the next she is the most cunning sexpot alluring him with her honest mouth.  Can they survive it all?   The pace of this book moves very fast as there is much inside.  Lots of surprises for the reader, as well as a burning heat between the main characters that may move the reader to need a fan.  The gang is all here in this one, and the new installment is satisfying, if not a slow burn.  I give this a 3/5 Kitty's Paws

Future

Image
Everly AKA "Daisy" has lived the life of a workaholic.  Forced to take time off work, she travels and meets the most unexpected man.  When disaster strikes, is it more than her heart at risk?   Asher has traveled the world.  Mostly a loner, he finds he does well in his isolated lifestyle.  Meeting the most important woman never even entered his thoughts.  Now that he has, he has no idea what to do about it.   The mot unlikely couples tend to be the very best ones, in my opinion.  This story was very much that in so many ways.  Always a favorite one click author for me, this holiday jaunt into the pages was an unexpectedly slow burn of epic proportions.  The characters were fun and had depth, if you get past the belittling characters in the front of the book.  Worth the read however, as it hits the HEA jackpot before it ends.  I give this a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP!     ***This early copy was given in exchange for an honest review, by Netgalley and its publishers. romance

Deceive

Image
This is book #6 in the Jameson Force Security Series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To avoid spoilers, and fully understand the series, I recommend reading this series in order.   Jaime finds herself being charmed by a hot man who thinks she is beautiful.  It's a treat to be wanted, and even better appreciated.  It is electric chemistry almost from the very beginning.  And it's mutual.....   Cage is back from a difficult mission.  He needs some down time.  Why not spend it with someone who is fascinating?  He really likes her and actually wants to be around her.  Maybe its time to give a relationship a chance?   The heat in this story starts right from the beginning.  I love how this couple is attracted to one another so much they can barely be apart.  The pace of the story moves well, and goes kind of quick.  This fits the lifestyle, and this works to sell the storyline.  Rich and deep characters, we have looked forward to this book - and I loved it.  I give

This is book #3 in the Dare Nation series.   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader understanding, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order.   Jaxon has learned the hard way that most relationships do not last.  Taking a chance with his sister's best friend, he is learning that she is strong and sassy.  Maybe this is a relationship that can last?   Macy needed help and the most unexpected person stepped up.  Married to a Baseball Star?  Well it appeals with both of them needing a rescue.  Being attracted to that bod isn't difficult, either.   This story moved at such a good pace.  It felt honest.  The book appealed on a family level, as well as a couple level.  I really liked the characters.  They make a good couple.  The sister didn't come across perfect, or rushed to be on the side of right.  This was a very good read, since it felt real.  I give this a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!     ***This early copy was given in exchange for an ho

There’s only one thing standing in my way. TJ Beckett. Beck is irresponsible and immature, and I’ve hated him since the moment we met freshman year. Yet, the coaches see something in him I obviously can’t, and they refuse to choose between us. The captain spot is going to a team vote, and the team thinks that what we need are a bunch of challenges to prove our worth. Challenges that have nothing to do with hockey. Challenges that are throwing me and Beck together. And he’s still as infuriating as ever. BECK   I have no idea why Christopher Jacobs hates me, and I can’t say I care. I like pushing his buttons, but the guy needs to loosen up. I’m going to win these stupid challenges

This is book #6 in the Love & Luck series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader understanding, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order.   Ben has been in love with Aidan for as long as he can remember.  He is actively trying to move on with his life.  The problems seems to be with the fact that they run into each other.  Have friends in common.     Aidan has been avoiding going home.  He knows if he does he will come eye to eye and body to body with the very man he loves.  The one he can never seem to get over, no matter how far across the world.   This couple was such a joy to read.  A long time coming, this series is heartwarming, sexy, and seriously fun.  These characters are complex and genuine.  I love reading about them and hope to again.  I give this a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!     ***This early copy was given in exchange for an honest review only.

Blurb: Summer nights and star-crossed lovers! From USA Today bestselling author Sarina Bowen. Once upon a time, he gave me a summer of friendship, followed by one perfect night. We shared a lot during our short time together. But he skipped a few crucial details. I didn’t know he was a rock star.   I didn’t know his real name.   Neither of us knew I’d get pregnant.   And I sure never expected to see him again.   Five years later, his tour bus pulls up in Nest Lake, Maine. My little world is about to be shattered by loud music and the pounding of my own foolish heart.     All Purchase Links: SERIES PAGE https://www.subscribepage.com/hushnote All links in one spot → https://shor.by/hush-note   🎵Audible → https://geni.us/Audible-LandL 🎵Paperback → https://geni.us/Paperback-LandL 🎵Amazon → https://geni.us/Amazon-LandL 🎵Apple → https://geni.us/apple-LandL 🎵Kobo → https://geni.us/kobo-LandL 🎵Nook → https://geni.us/Nook-LandL 🎵Google → https://geni.us/Goog

Building

Image
This is book #3 in the Hot & Hammered series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader to enjoy and avoid spoilers, I would recommend reading the series in order.   Bethany likes to have her life in order.  She prides herself on the ability to be the best at what she does.  Then the one man who can spin her whole life out of control is the one who volunteers to help her when it counts.   Wes is glad to have a good job and be appreciated.  He also has been trying to get Bethany to go out with him for so long.  Now they must work together and dating and more is off the table.  Better to help her get her business off the ground.   This story was a slow burn.  The attraction between the characters is obvious from the beginning.  The book picks up pace, and so does the main characters.  Then they are invited to do more and add humor, and well I cannot spoil it.  I give this a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!     ***This ARC copy was given in exchange for an honest review by Net

Changes

Image
This is book #5 in the Love & Luck series.   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To avoid spoilers, and to understand the series, I recommend reading this series in order.   Josh has been talked into going to his ex's wedding.  All of his friends and family is going to attend, so he is expected to.  Then he sees Connor, and how much he has changed.  The attraction is stronger, if that is even possible.   Connor knows he has no future with Josh, so he must keep his focus.  When he suddenly has a child to care for, though, he wants to consult the best expert he knows.  Then they fins out they have plenty in common.  I give this a 5/5 Kitty's Paws Up!

This is book #2 in the CU Hockey Series.   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader enjoyment, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this in order intended.   Jacobs & Beckett are both up for the position of Team Captain.  The leaders believe in competitive motivation, apparently.  Now the two men must spend more time together than they ever had in the past.     Is it inevitable that they would learn to appreciate one another in more than just the standard ways?  Beckett normally just annoys Jacobs to the point of insanity.  Now the attraction is making it hard to keep their secret, or their hands to themselves.   I am thoroughly enjoying this series.  These characters are fun, serious, incredible, deep, and more.  I found this story to be fascinating and honestly cannot wait for the next book in the  series .  I give this a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!     ***This early copy was given in exchange for an honest review only.

♦ ♦ ♦ Title: About Tomorrow... Author : Abbi Glines Genre: New Adult Romance Release Day: December 14, 2020 Cover Designer: Damonza ♦ ♦ ♦ About Tomorrow... I close my eyes as I hear him speak. I take one very long and deep breath hoping to calm the immediate butterflies that take flight in my stomach and hope to slow down the racing of my heart. The voice was slightly deeper but the timbre was one that was achingly familiar. My actions did little to help, but then who was I kidding? A deep breath wasn't going to fix the effect he had on me and my body's inevitable reaction. Even the memories that would forever haunt me couldn't keep my emotions from triggering at the nearness of him once again. I used to pray that I'd find the strength to move on from him, from the pain that the end carried, from the emptiness in my chest, but ultimately move on from—the loss of Creed Sullivan and the death of his sister, Cora. The Sullivans had been t
