Lark Sommers's dry spell is officially a sex-starved desert. Since taking over her mom's quirky coffee shop in Nowhere, Idaho—putting her own career on permanent hold—Lark's been, well, miserable. But her friends have a plan…one that starts with a superhot guy with a rockin' hard bod.
US Navy SEAL Shane O'Brian has no clue he's being set up. All he knows is that Lark does incredible things to his libido. Still, Shane can't quite bring himself to tell her what he does for a living. After all, their risqué business is temporary—no strings, no falling in love.

Oh, my.

He was gorgeous.

Wasn’t he gorgeous?

She thought so, but the room had taken a nice, slow spin so which she was sure accounted for the sudden dizziness filling her head and the odd tightness in her belly. Resting her hand on the doorframe, Lark blinked a couple of times so she could see him more clearly.

And oh, boy, was she glad she did.

Because she’d been right. He was gorgeous. Sara had been right, he definitely had a little Greek god in there somewhere.

Tall, close to a foot over her own five-four, he a swimmer’s build. Broad shoulders, a slender waist and long, long legs. The kind of body that would look might sweet naked but for a gleaming coat of oil.

His dark brown hair was cut super short, the top spiked in a way that looked like he’d ran his hands through it’s thickness while it was wet and left it at that. Unlike Sara’s round sweetness, her brother’s face was narrow, with slashing brows and a full mouth.

Oh, that mouth. Those lips. Mmm. Lark wet her lips while imagining doing the same to his. She was pretty sure she could spend hours nibbling on that bottom lip of his and still not be satisfied.

She’d bet if he were doing the nibbling, her satisfaction would be guaranteed. She didn’t know if it was all the talk of sex today, or if he was simply the most desirable man she’d ever seen in her life. Either or both got credit for the images flooding her mind.

The two of them, naked. Oh yeah, she’d bet he was even better naked. Long, lean and luscious, he’d know what to do with his body. Better yet, he’d know what to do with hers. She’d bet he could do things she’d only read about in those sexy romance novels.

Questions for Author Tawny Weber

1.  You have mentioned that your marriage started as its own love story.  Will we ever get to hear that (even though it is long) or is it already written in one of your books?

It’s so sweet of you to ask! It really is a long story, with a lot of twists and turns and unexpected connections. But the short version is that we were married less than 8 months after our first date and that he’s my forever hero. I haven’t written our story and can’t imagine doing so. But I do put a little bit of my husband in each hero I write. It makes writing those hot love scenes feel a little less like cheating LOL

2.  You have many hobbies, which is admirable.  I am just wondering how you find the time to write these amazing books and have fun too!  Any advice for those who cannot seem to find the time?

It helps to have a slightly obsessive personality
Writing is my job, so I have very specific hours for that. Not that those hours don’t often expand and take over everything else, but I try to be aware of when that happens and nip it in the bud as soon as I can. But so many of my hobbies are integrated into my life. Exercise is almost mandatory to keep my energy levels up, and my family has come to consider a store-bought card an insult, so I have to spend time with my card-making hobby at least once a month to keep up with the birthday and holidays. So for me, the best advice is to find a way to make the hobbies you love a part of your life instead of an indulgence. Unfortunately, I think we find it much to easy to avoid indulging ourselves.

3.  Your alpha heroes are so much fun to read.  Readers keep asking what made you write about them verses another type of hero.  What inspires you?

That’s so wonderful! Thank you for reading my heroes and for having fun with them. I certainly do myself. I don’t think I write a specific type of hero, at least, I never set out to. I simply the kind of hero I feel that I could fall in love with. In the Sexy SEAL series, the heroes do have similar characteristics because of the series itself- these are all men dedicated to service, to defending their country and to being the best. To me, they’re the ultimate heroes. And yes, the kind of guys I could easily fall in love with.

4.  Hearing you are a Johnny Depp fan, makes me wonder... do you have a favorite movie or genre of movie you like to watch?

Mmm, Johnny. Isn’t he the yummiest?! But I tend to watch and appreciate his lighter, more quirky movies like Captain Jack and Edward Scissorhands and Benny and Joon over the darker ones like Once Upon a Time in Mexico. So when it comes to preferences in movies, I’m all about the fairy tale. I think my taste froze when I was a teenage girl. Beyond fairy tales, I love to laugh, so romantic comedies are a favorite, or anything—absolutely anything—Disney is high on my list. Otherwise, I’m beyond thrilled with all of the super hero movies that are so popular right now. I do love me a good super hero.

5.  Can you tell us 1 thing about yourself that nobody knows?  A secret just for our readers?

Hmm, a secret. Okay, here’s one... I was once in a Sylvester Stallone movie as an extra. The movie did nothing to highlight either of our careers

6.  You are the most gifted writer and we love your work.  If you had not become a writer, what other dream would you have pursued?

My parents are fond of reminding me that when I was twelve, I claimed that when I grew up I wanted to be a mom, a gypsy and a writer. For many years I earned a living doing tarot readings and practicing Reiki, so if I didn’t write I’d quite likely still be doing that. But really, I’m living my dream. I love so much being able to create stories about the strength and magic of love, and appreciate beyond words the readers who make it possible for me to make this my career.

7.  Your story is very inspirational.  You took control of what you wanted through classes, support groups, etc.  What advice would you give to an aspiring writer today?

I think that the best thing a writer can do for themselves is understand their motivation—what makes the do this? What motivates them to write this particular story, what motivates them to write as a career. Understanding that motivation goes a long way toward, well, motivating. If I know why I want something, then I know how much I’m willing to do to get it. I know how much I’ll invest in trying to get it. And I’ll have a better handle on how to counteract the inevitable obstacles that will come at me on my way to that goal. Knowing why I wanted to be an author, to have a career as a writer, helped push me to take those classes, to join the groups and to keep working at it. It still does.
