My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is book # 2 in The Cursed Pack series. This can be read as a standalone. It has part of the story in the book that will make more sense if you read the books in the order they were given.

Kyle and Novie meet when he joins her pack, and travels to see her as a protector. She is not sure she wants to get to know somebody new. Her nightmares from the last friends she was close to still haunt her at night.

Novie was told she was a hero. She felt like a failure. How can she start something new with Kyle knowing she could only bring him heartache?

I found this book to be a pleasant surprise. It may have been short and sweet. It was also suspenseful and full of heat. I cannot wait to see what is next for this series.
