The story continues almost a year later. We are back into Jamie and Wes working with their hockey teams. Jamie coaching, and Wes playing on the NHL team. Happy and together, but are they?
Wes feels the pressure put on him by his parents to keep his lifestyle a secret. He asks Jamie to stay in the closet and keep his secret. They live a very sheltered and quiet life, where they do not feel like going out with their friends.
Jamie is starting to feel the pressure of keeping the secret. He wants the world to know this man is his. He would prefer to shout it everywhere anyone would hear. Will it tear them apart if he voices his concerns?
This book was just as good, if not better than the original. I do not say this lightly. I am literally blown away with the impact of such a strong love story. This is a relationship we should all aspire to have at home. Hopefully, the authors let us revisit this series often. I give this book a happy 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP!
