Felicity has had many hits and they keep on coming.  Her kids are her life.  She lives in a town where her family gathers around them, but they are needy unto themselves.  She wants to stop living in the past and move on. Graham knows he must learn to live in the now.  It is hard when you have a child who cannot seem to forigve you your foibles.  With this new attraction to an old friend, can he discover what it means to make a new family? This story had some great characters.  My issue with this book was that they were all presernt and accounted for.  The whole town, all the famlies, and it felt more than full it felt like a bucket overflowing.  The story itself moved at a fast pace.  It was just a struggle to keep up where maybe some of the storylines would have been best in their own book.  I give this read a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This ARC copy was given by Netgalley and its publishers, in exchange for an honest review.

This is book #3, in the VIP series.   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To avoid spoilers, and to fully understand the series, I recommend reading this series in order. Jax is stunned from the moment he meets Stella.  He does not know why he is so attracted, but he thinks about her all the time.  Can he be what she needs to make a future? Stella is surprised to meet Jax.  The attraction is mutual. She becomes his neighbor.  They meet up constantly and accidentally and the heat is sparking all over. This story was more involved and a little dark.  I like how realistic it was about addiciton and depression.  These are hard subjects to tackle and I felt it was done well.  I liked reading about the characters falling.  It felt organic, real, and like I was in the room.  I enjoyed this read.  I give this a 5/5 Kitty's Book Spot!

This is #7, in the Wicked Horse Vegas series.   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader understanding, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order. August is happy being a hedonist.  He enjoys women, and sex and is not ashamed of his hobbies.  Then a surprise blast from the past blows him away with a visit. Leighton is someone who knew August in his past.  They were supposed to have a future that was ripped away.  Can he and Jameson Force Security help when it is lives on the line? This story had so much to it.  It was nice to connect the series that I love to read.  I was happy with the references to the other books.  The characters felt disconnected to me somehow.  I had a hard time placing the story with the people I was reading about.  It is still a good read, but not the kind I am used to from this author.  I give this read a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This early copy was given in exchange for an honest review only.

Max is quickly burning out on his current job, when a co-worker tells him of a job that may be too good to be true.  He figures what can it hurt to interview?  Then he finds out who is connected to the job. Silas has been hiding.  His father cannot have him be himself, for fear it will ruin the family name.  Can he impress him and become the next CEO of the family business?   Sweet story with an excellent way of explaining about love over expectation.  Some dark elements, with additiction, and abuse.  I loved that the author had such a new way to make us feel it can be discussed.  I liked that the characters had a sense of self, and were able to show development.  The friendship explored was also a treat to read.  I enjoyed this book and give it a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Sophie meets Gabriel on the airplane to a new job.  Only to find out he is basically her new boss.  Can she fight the attraction that is thrumming between them? Gabriel AKA "Scottie" find himself annoyed, and then enchanted by Sophie.  She is getting under his skin quickly.  Is it even possible to resist at this point? This book covered a subject we do not often see written so openly.  The loneliness that is felt by these characters in their lives is unexpected from an outside point of view, as they are both normally surrounded by others.  I liked the fresh approach.  I also liked the humor, the heat, and definitely loved the connection between the two main characters.  I enjoyed reading this and cannot wait to read the next installment to the  great series .  I give this read a 5/5 Kit

This is book #2, in the Getting Hitched In Dixie series.   While each book in this series in listed as a standalone and can be read that way, I recommend reading them in order.  Well worth it if you do. Violet comes to visit and help her sister.  She has crashed and burned recently with the bad breakup she has just experienced.  Then she meets Ford, and its like she just has to tell herself she is here to recover temporarily.   Ford never expects one woman to knock him off his feet.  Since they have met, he has felt like he always wants to be around her all the time.  Is it turning in your man card if you like being around someone so fun and full of life? This author is a 1click standard for me, I will be honest about that.  Not since her Taking Shots series have I stayed up and not put a book down. This book is #2, in the Darling Devils series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To avoid spoilers, and to fully understand the series, I recommend reading the series in order. Naomi and Lars have history.  Serious chemistry of heat and sexy history.  Only the choice for her was about friendship.  Since she could have gotten serious about a man who uses her looks as a type.  She instead, chose to be his friend, the best of friends. Lars is all in with his best friend.  Until the worst happens.  Then they split apart, and that is it.  Being in the limelight, having someone to care about who he really is was a real treat.  Now, she looks at him with such shame and disgust.  Can this be fixed? I love the friends to lovers trope, I have been pretty vocal about that.  I just really did not feel the connection with this story and its MC's.  I tried at separate times.  I found the story solid, the pace nice and fast, and the chemistry just was not working for me

There are so many things I want to tell you about this story.  I am not a spoiler though, so here it is: read the book.  This was just really romance goodness from start to finish.  The attraction was strong with heat, that turned up rather quickly.  The main characters were passionate and caring. The pace was not too slow, but pretty steady.  Overall a great book to grab and read. Aaron runs around his neighborhood until he sees the most striking woman he has ever seen.  What is a hot hockey player to do when he sees a good looking woman?  He stops to talk to her.  Then as he gets to know her, he realizes he wants more.   Clarke cannot believe she has met a man who excites her in more ways than one.  She is shocked to find that behind the excellent banter is a well read man.  Its the fame that surrounds him that makes it a hard decision.   The banter just sucked me in right from the get go.  This book has it all and I loved it.   I was excited to read about this great series!   Some of our favorites form previous stories make an appearance in this one.  The characters were a joy to read and I was eagerly turning the pages.  This read has a fast pace, lots of

Archer first comes into Jake's place of business and begs him to sell something unsellable.  There are real consequences to this action, for both of them.  Then realizing they can help one another, they make a new plan that takes them one step closer to the rest of their lives.
