Wren and Fuller have history. That's right, and not the good kind either. Wren had been hurt repeatedly by being treated so poorly by the "in" crowd, of which Fuller is the leader, basically. Fuller is getting into some trouble academically. His coach has a plan - but does not want anyone to know. So Fuller treats it as he is interested in Wren, instead. Little does he know how much truth is like fiction. This was such an amazing story! I had never read this author's work before, but you can bet I will again. I hope we revisit this group at this school. There seems like a lot of potential for a series here. I loved the banter, and even how enemies were able to become friends. This is book #2, in the Girls Of Summer series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. To avoid spoilers, and to completely understand the series, I recommend reading these in order. Rachel is ok with being set up on a blind date. She is used to coming in second. She is used to being the backup. This is book #2, in the Smart Jocks series . This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this great series in order. Katrina is completely thankful that such a hot jock asks her out each week. Is it crazy that she enjoys it? It makes her feel pretty and helps her make it through. When he really wants to take her out, what will she say? Joel has wanted to take Katrina out since the very first time he asked her out. The past and how they are both hurt definitely makes a difference on how they approach dating. He never gives up and hopefully one day soon...... Such a great addition to an already very charming and yet sexy series. The characters were just perfect for one another. Even with such sensitive subjects discussed, I enjoyed and really devoured each page. I am seriously eager for the next installment. I give this story a 5/5 Kitty's Paws...
