Bristol & Roan have been best friends since they were kids.  One night gets hot and steamy, and then they are closer than before.  With Roan getting deployed, they both have time to decide what they want by the time he gets home. Roan has been in love with Bristol for so long.  He finally gets to show her how he feels.  When things get complicated, she tries to separate herself from him.  He wants to make the future happen, and show her just how he feels. This was a sweet and touching story.  I am not giving spoilers, but this is a great read.  I love the characters care about each other and there is a solid friendship foundation there.  I also found the heat level was turned up and stayed there.  Always easy to love a man in uniform.  I give this a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This copy was given in exchange for an honest review only.

This is book #9, in The Santinis series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To avoid spoilers, and have understanding of the series, I recommend reading in order. Anthony is not happy and not sad.  He is content where he is.  He does not want to be set up by friends or family to find a relationship.  He is where he wants to be. Lalani is also content where she is.  Having been hurt in the past, she is in no hurry to try again.  She and Anthony are honest about this when they meet.  The sparks fly anyway.... This book was full of sexy banter and delicious toe curling heat.  The sizzle was easy to feel as I read.  The family and recurring favorites were also present to make a great read.  I give this story a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This copy was given in exchange for an honest review by Netgalley and its publishers.

Jarrett is sent to protect an ATF agent who has decided to testify against a really bad man.  He notices how capable and strong he is immediately.  He just really wishes he was not attracted to him. Thayne knew he would have a target on his back.  He can take care of himself.  His boss has other ideas.  Jarrett is sent to protect him.  After a while he wants more. I went into this story not really knowing what to expect.  This is a new author to me.  I found the book to be not only intriguing, but seriously hot.  These two characters are more than capable of taking care of themselves.  Now they must learn to care for each other.  I cannot wait to read more of the Death And Destruction series!  I give this story a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!
