This is book # 2 in the Gowns & Crowns series .   This book can be read as a standalone.  After reading the books in the series I am of the mindset that it should be read as the author intended.  The reader can find more joy and understanding by reading the books in order. Lauren has come to Garronia, with her best friends while on holiday.  While there, one of her friends falls in love with the Prince.  This makes all of them fall into the spotlight.  The news for Lauren, is not good.
