Callie has had to push herself to survive.  To come here to school, to go forward with her plans, and get on with her life.  After great tragedy she intends to be her best self. Hayden remembers Callie from high school.  He remembers wanting her from afar.  He remebers her bully attitude.  He does not know who she is now.  Maybe its time? Such a sweet and sexy story.  I found myself entrenched into the story rather quickly.  Not wanting to put down for anything.  I loved the friendships that were built.  The characters are endearing, charming, and the chemistry is sudden and hot!  I loved this story and cannot wait for the next installment in this incredible series!  I give this read a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This ARC copy was given in exchange for an hones review only.

Jake has stayed the course and will soon graduate.  He is trying to stay on track, and is looking at the goal on the horizon.  Then he meets someone who turns his world sideways and upside down. Archer first comes into Jake's place of business and begs him to sell something unsellable.  There are real consequences to this action, for both of them.  Then realizing they can help one another, they make a new plan that takes them one step closer to the rest of their lives. This book is fast paced and literally can go whizzing by.  I found I liked the characters lack of steady under their feet as it made for a fun read.  Poor guys never know what hit them.  From attraction, to change of jobs, to learning to navigate friendships this story has the reader on thier toes just wishing to be in on the action.  I give this read a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This ARC copy was given in excahnge for an honest review only.

This is book #5, in the Out In College series.   This story can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader understanding, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order. Colby meets Sky in a summer class.  They start as enemies, or so Colby thinks.  Once they do get to know each other, the attraction intensifies and nearly burns him up.   Sky has no idea how to fix this confusion with Colby.  It does not seem he will ever have a chance to be more.  Is what he is feeling enough to take a chance on someone for a future? This was a solid addition to the series.  In the long awaited Hockey version, the MC's are both busy with their own sports and schedules when they meet in class. I loved the banter.  I found the pace good, the heat at a good level, and the story read so good I could not put it down.  I give this read a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Henley has just gone through the worst thing any teenager should have to right before college.  She has lost her very best friend to cancer.  Now she is trying to stay loyal by finishing her besties bucket list.   Lincoln is intrigued by the new blonde who give him so much crap.  He loves that nothing gets past her.  This is a woman he could fall for.  He has to focus on football, but maybe there is room for more? This was a very sweet story.  I found that I enjoyed the author's twists and turns for this couple.  They were truly meant to be.  So many surprises in this book too.  The pace was pretty steady, and the story rich and solid.  I give this read 4/5 Kitty's Book Spot!   Forbidden   romance   Contemporary

“She could kiss him. She could lean forward right now and kiss him, and, like the man said, stop this nonsense. Instead, Kelly closed her eyes until she felt the car moving forward. She couldn't give in. She wouldn't give in. Not unless she wanted him to break her heart all over again.” ~~  Letters to Kelly  by  Suzanne Brockmann ,

This is book #3, in the Briar U series.   This story can be read as a standalone novel.  To avoid the spoilers, and truly enjoy the series, I recommend reading these in order. Hunter had last season end badly.  He is determined to have a better year, and be the best Captain of his hockey team.  Then he met temptation. Demi has a boyfriend and is fine with adding Hunter to her huge list of guy friends.  He turns out to be an interesting study buddy.  While there is definitely an attraction there, they both know its off limits. I eagerly anticipated this story and was not disappointed!  These characters bring it all.  I enjoyed their heat and it made the sexy times hotter.  Was great that some of our absolute faves came to visit.  This was a great read.  I give this a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This copy was given in exchange for an honest review.

This is book #2 in the Briar U series.   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To avoid spoilers, and to fully understand this series, I recommend reading in order. Jake wants to do the right thing by his team.  They count on him and look to him to lead.  Is it bad he is wanting the girl on of them used to be with?   Brenna cannot stand Jake.  He has given her more than enough reason to want to lash out.  So how come his name came up when she needs a pretend boyfriend? Theirs is a complicated story.  Being on different sides never stops anyone when feeling are involved.  These characters were more than the outside shows.  While they are both beautiful people, they both have pain from the past they must overcome.  I found their getting together inspiring.  Strong souls who fight for the heart.  I give this read a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Summer has wanted Colin AKA "Fitz" for more than a year now.  When they see each other next, she is attending the same school, and even his roommate.  If only he hadn't implied she was superficial.   Fitz has tried everything to stay away from Summer.  Each day brings another reason or event where he has to see her, talk to her, and get to know her.  The more he does the more he wants.  If he hadn't mad her mad somehow...... I feel like the characters getting together was inevitable. They have a lot in common, including the people they hang around with, family, etc.  I think it was good for both of them to grow and find one another.  I was thrilled to see some old favorites and fell in love with this  new series  in moments.  I give this read a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Laney meets someone she never expects at a party.  They both have a bad night and commiserate enough to become friends.  If she can make room in her life to let someone in he may be a happy addition. Theo is intrigued from the get go.  Attracted to first her voice, then her beauty, he just cannot get enough of her in his life.  Laney brings him joy and helps inspire him. Together these characters make for quite the read.  I love the banter and openly laughed out loud multiple times.  Such a great story going at a good steady pace.  I could not put it down.  I give this story a 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This early copy was given in return for an honest review only.

Rival

Image
This book is #2, in the Friend Zone series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To avoid spoilers, and have a better understanding of the series, I recommend reading it in order. Layla has been competing with Dash for many years.  Suddenly he is her instructor for a college course.  Under other circumstances she may have had an alternative but this is forced upon her to graduate. Dash has been attracted to Layla for some time.  Her being upset and angry - he finds it hot.  As her teacher he can't do anything about it.  Not that she would let him.  Only time will tell now. This was kind of a punch to the gut right from the start.  Everything happened so fast for the characters.  The sparks are definitely flying.  The  series  continues with some heat and angst.  I give this a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This early copy was given in exchange for an honest review only.

Fresh start

This is book #3, in the Awkward Duckling series.   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader understanding, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this great series in order. Reese meets Mason on the flight over to the school they will both be attending.  He shocks her and technically uses her, so she is skeptical to believe anything he tells her after that.  Unfortunately, you cannot help you are attracted to, and they often run into one another. Mason is looking for a real relationship.  He is in a hurry to have one, since his parents and country are pushing him to clean up his image.  He realizes there is more to Reese than at first glance, and he wants to get to know her better. This was such a surprise!  I loved the banter and was laughing out loud as I read.  These characters are such a joy.  I really liked the pace, and there was chemistry right from the start.  The friendships in this series are g...

Misunderstanding

This is a great story about a second chance for Charlotte and Grayson. They met in college and had their life ahead of them. She to be a lawyer, he to be in professional football. When they come across one another later - fireworks!  Grayson had always intended to be with Charlotte. He lost her and did not know where she was. With seven years wasted, he does not want to miss another minute. Convincing her to give him another shot? Priceless.  This book was full of so many precious moments. I loved the banter, sexy times, heat level, pace, etc. I was so pleased I picked this one up. This author is amazing.  The narration in the audio book was very soothing and the voice had just the right inflections and made me actually feel the entire scene. Narrators Erin Mallon, Joseph Discher were a good addition and I enjoyed reading and listening to this book.

Nick moves to a new town to attend college with a gull ride scholarship.  Sebastian hits on him right away.  The mutual attraction sets off sparks right away. Sebastian is used to getting what he wants.  What he wants now is Nick.  Nick, however, is a serious student who wants to do well and not let anything get in his way. This book was a serious slow burn, and was almost too slow.  I liked the characters interaction itself but wish the pace had been a little bit faster.  I loved the ending and was thrilled this author once again gave me an HEA.  I give this a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This ARC copy was given in exchange for an honest review only, by Netgalley and its publishers.

This is book #4, in the Bellevue Bullies series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader understanding, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this fantastic series in order. Ryan is excited to get to the NHL and is working hard to get there.  Then he meets someone else just as dedicated but to her own sport.  He has to work a bit to convince her it is worth it, and maybe they really have a shot. Sofia is all in when it comes to her future and her career.  Why should a guy like Ryan get in her way?  The attraction between them literally charges the room when they are in it together.  Her roommates brother is worth the chance, if she gives him one. This was a sexy and sweet story.  I loved these characters together and their journey is so much fun to read.  This is a great addition to the  series .  If you have been a fan of these hockey books all along - you're going to love the cameo's of ...

Sterling AKA "Rowdy" is the captain of his school's baseball team.  When they need him, he is right there to take care of things.  The current need?  Getting rid of this adorable cock blocker.  Scarlett has only tried to help her friends.  How is it her fault that the guys are terrible conversationalists?  The sexy hunk of a man who kicks her out makes up for it, though.  Now if she could just convince him to let her back in the house.... Such an amazingly great book.  This  series  is very sexy and fun.  I loved the banter element most of all.  I could picture it like it was happening right in front of me!  I could not put this book down and eagerly devoured each and every page.  What lucky readers we are.  I cannot wait to read the next installment.  I give this story a 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

He reached across the car and took my hand. "I know I haven't been around as much," he said, "but after today, my schedule won't be so busy." "I understand," I said softly. And I did. "Football is your life. It's your dream." He made a sound. "You're just as important to me." I smiled. "I have to admit I won't be upset when this game is over and all the girls around here stop wearing your number all over their bodies." His white teeth flashed. "Is someone jealous?" I snorted. His smile grew wider. "Maybe a little," I admitted. He lunged forward and in seconds had me in his lap, my legs straddling him so we were face to face. He buried his hands in my tangled disaster of hair. I admit I hadn't even brushed it when we got out of bed this morning. "You're my favorite girl," he whispered. "I better be your only girl." He smiled. "That too.” ~~Cambria He...

Secrets

Levi is finally getting to pursue his dream.  He has arrived at college with a plan.  Until he finds he may not be able to live where he thought.  Now he has to hurry or go back home. Nathan knows it is time to grow up.  He has not looked forward to living the life his parents have chosen.  He wants to choose his future.  When he and Levi crash into one another it is a jaw dropping, eye opener.  Will the secrets come out and change the course? Sweet and tender, this story starts out slow and picks up steam.  These characters are learning to become the young adults they know they can be.  What they find is they can be stronger as a team.  Navigating emotions are always hard, it helps to have someone in your corner.  I give this book a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This early copy was given in exchange for an honest review.
