Kitty's Book Spot!

This is book #3 in the Breakaway series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To avoid spoilers, and to better understand this great series, I recommend reading this series in order. Maddox and Lacey have a sexy but secretive history.  He had tried to find her, but with no luck.  Then fate intervened.  Now, he has to show her what she means and where the future can go. Lacey is afraid to believe in her relationship.  During their time apart, and every time she checks online, someone is posted pictures with her man.  How can she trust that he is only for her? This is Book # 2, in the Breakaway series.   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading this series in order. Dallas is a Goal Tender for a hockey team.  He is also a hothead.  He is having a hard time adjusting to having to teach someone to be his backup.  Dallas is also incredibly attracted to Callie. Callie is a nurse, who cannot seem to find a good man.  Her brother plays on the same team with Dallas.  He wants her to stay away from hockey players.  If only she could.  For some reason she is drawn to him. This was an amazingly hot and sexy book!  Has lots of heat in many other ways too.  The characters just mesh so well.  I love this  Breakaway series  and I hope we get more stories.  I give this book a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This ARC copy was given in exchange for an honest review by Netgalley and its publisher.

Kristen has a sudden life changing incident occur.  She ends up living in another location with a new name.  She has had so much upheaval lately that nothing feels right.  Not until she meets someone who makes her feel safe and whole again. Kellan has wanted Kristen to give him the time of day for some time.  He wants to show her he is no longer the type of guy she thinks he is.  He wants someone forever, not just a one night stand. This story is sweet and sexy.  I found myself eagerly turning the pages!  I loved how charming and protective the leading man is.  The hot men that are in this series make me eager for the next installment to come.  I give this book a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This ARC copy was given by Netgalley and its publishers, in exchange for an honest review only.

Jared meets Lane at a bar, when they both cannot sleep.  Then they end up rivals on opposite teams.  When the attraction becomes heated, they stop fighting it. Lane knows he should avoid  Jared.  He knows he has to show his best as a professional.  What about when your lonely?  What about having someone to keep you going?  He only knows he can't resist. This book was so sweet in many ways.  I realize saying that about a couple of hockey players sounds odd.  These characters really made me feel for them.  Along with the love of the game, there is much heat, heart, and happiness.  I truly enjoyed each page.  I give this story a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Pierce & Lia have known one another for many years.  Only one of them remembers the other.  Can an unlikely friendship start and actually turn into more? Lia is rather disgusted that Pierce has forgotten who she is.  If he ever knew, that is.  All of that aside, now they have to work together toward a common goal.
