Kitty's Book Spot!

David left for college a broken young man trying to build a new life.  Coming home to care of his father, he must rebuild again.  Past loves and friendships become new again and then he must choose. Nick is still struggling to get his life started.  Starting over after his divorce, he soon finds out his childhood best friend has moved back.  Can he repair the hurt he caused and allow them to start over? This was a complete slow burn.  The story moved at a slower pace than I usually like, but I loved it all the same.  The characters were sweet and sexy, and easy to fall for.  Rooting for them to be together seemed right.  I loved the honesty and richness to the story.  I give this read a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This copy was provided by Netgalley and its publishers, in exchange for an honest review.

Logan meets this amazingly charming young lady on the way to the airport.  How did he find her?  She is his driver for this trip.  In a hurry, he rushes off - leaving something behind.  If he is to get his project off the ground, he had better talk that charming driver into making a spontaneous trip to where he is. Chloe drives lots of people.  She tries to make money to survive while she is working on getting her art to pay her rent.  Then the trip drops in her lap.  This trip is a chance of a lifetime, returning keys a billionaire asks for.  He needs help.  Is it crazy? Erik asks River to give him a tattoo.  They find they are both attracted and try to see where it goes.  This is hard for Erik since he is often moving around and has trouble with trust. River does not want to get his hopes up.  He knows Erik is struggling to define himself.  River normally sticks to his routine, however, his longing for Erik puts him at a whole new level. This book has so much in it.  These characters are seriously in need of one another.  The story can be dark at times.  I actually liked how they were together and found that if I made it past the grit, there was good heat and and friendship.  I give this a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This ARC copy was given in exchange for an honest review by Netgalley and its publisher.

This is book #6, in  The Walkers of Coyote Ridge  series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader understanding, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this sexy series in order. Rex has a history with the home that he wants to make a future in.  He has known since his youth he would run a B & B in his historic home.  If he can get past the nightmares, he might be able to find a little magic there too. Jack has never really been curious.  Until he is driven to try something new by an awareness he does not have until Rex.  Once he gets a taste however, there is only craving. Such a sexy and yet very sweet story.  The heat between these two is just sizzling right along as you read.  I love this series and it is so nice to visit back with some of our favorites.  I give this a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This ARC copy was given in exchange for an honest review.

Halley & Kane have a history.  One that goes back to the school days and misery.  He was once her protector.  Now Halley has found that she is very attracted to him as a man. Parker Braxton AKA "Brax" to his friends, ran literally into Layla.  He thinks she makes the best coffee in the world, and wonders why others cannot do it right like she can.  Now, he feels responsible for her and wants to take care of her.  The attraction he is fighting is killing him.  The sparks are sure flying between them. Layla had no idea that her customer, the famous billionaire himself, knew her name.  When he ran into her - she thought they would both just walk away.  She really does not like others telling her what to do.  She has a dream to get back to. This is book #2 in the Stories From The Shore series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader enjoyment and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading in order.   Anthony AKA "Tony" & Walter have a hot and heavy history that Tony is sure had its time and has since burned out.  However, fate has more than one surprise in store for this couple.  Can time and proximity change the result this time? This book was such a roller coaster ride!  Lots of happenings in such a small package.  The MC's have excellent chemistry, however, I wish we had seen more actual couple time.  This series seems to be heating up.  Cannot wait to see what is next.  I give this story a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This ARC copy was given in exchange for an honest review only.

This is probably what I would consider  The Boy Friend #1.5 .  This should not be meant to be a standalone read.  It takes place following  The Boy Friend .  I recommend reading them in order to avoid spoilers. Coriander AKA "Cori" is going to finally marry Dean.  We leave off 6 months after the last book ended, with this couple so happy together officially.  Cori just has secrets she is afraid to approach with Dean. Dean has so much love for his bride to be.  All he wishes is that she would communicate with him so they can solve what is wrong.  He knows he will do anything for his dear Cori. This is such a sweet, if short jaunt back into the lives of our favorite couple.  Trying to keep their bliss, they encounter some rough spots on the way to matrimony.  Worth the simple and hot read.  I give this book a 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This early copy was given in exchange for an honest review.

This is book #2, in the Maverick Junction series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading this great series in order. Ty has a lot on his plate.  His triplet sons were left without a mom when his wife died.  Between that and his ranch, he does not get to change the lonely life he leads.  Meeting Sophie makes him nervous.  He knows he wants her, but he knows what wanting her means.  He also knows what losing someone feels like. Sophie is completely out of her element in Texas.  Chicago, where she calls home is more her speed.  She loves city life.  She does not understand cows.  No one can explain the sudden electricity between her and Ty.  Nor does she want to do anything about it.  Except she does.... Dean & Coriander AKA Cori are best friends.  Yes, just friends.  Only everyone around them either doesn't believe them, or thinks they should be together.  How can one find a significant other in the middle of all of this? Cori wants to settle down.  Dean wants to be the best friend for her that he can be.  So what if he is suddenly finding himself thinking of her all day and all night.  Is this the time to take a chance?  Would the future be brighter if they gave it a try? Charlotte AKA Charlie has known Evan for almost twenty years.  She has been in love with him the whole time.  He was married to her best friend, until tragedy struck. Evan and his son are devastated by losing their wife and mother.  It is time for a change.  He moves them to where they will make new memories and still have a support system.  Little does he know, what he needed was there all along. Such a terrific start to the Second Chance series .  Such amazingly fun characters with excellent banter and really HOT sexy times.  I laughed, cried, and cheered out loud reading this one.  I cannot wait to read the next book!  I give this story a 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

This is a combo of books 6 & 7 in the Bend Or Break series .  These can be read as standalone novels.  For reader enjoyment and understanding of the series, I recommend reading them in order. These books are a good choice as a set since they both have characters who must overcome being opposites and find common ground. Kellus & Arik meet through mutual friends and have a project in common.  Arik loves his art and wants to have more pieces.  Kellus has been hurt in the past and is shy about trying again. Arik is determined to get through to the elusive Kellus.  When the chance comes across his path, he is sure he can talk Kellus into the plan as well.  Only time will tell. Dominic meets Bo after a bad breakup.  They find they have a lot in common and an attraction that only adds to their friendship.  While getting to know one another, Dominic's ex shows up and makes a mess of things. This book was full of surprises, mishaps, problems, and thrown in the middle was some serious heat.  The electricity between Bo and Dominic is very sexy and sizzles.  Bo is a true friend, maybe even a hero.  I found myself enjoying this story very much.  I give this book a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

 This is book # 2 in The Spencer Cohen Series .   This can be read as a standalone novel.  I would recommend, however, that you read this series in order.  It will be better for the reader and encourage better understanding. Spencer and Andrew's story continues where we left off in book one.  They are now taking a chance and dating.  They both want to start slow, and make less mistakes.   Andrew is used to going fast when he sees something he wants, so for him this is a real adjustment.  He wants to spend all his time with Spencer, but he knows he has to pace himself. The pace of this book is nice and quick.  The character development feels right on.  I was pleased to see the heat between them is burning just as bright!  I found this book to be a great read.  I give this story a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This ARC copy was given in exchange for an honest review only.

Savannah and Beau lived in harmony next door to one another.  Until Thanksgiving when an innocent, yet compromising position makes their families believe they are involved.  The attraction between them is already explosive.  So it is easily believed. Beau is more attracted to Savannah with the more he finds out.  He is interested in her as a person, as well as a woman.  She is all he never was looking for. Savannah wants to help him but is basically an honest person.  She is afraid she will slip and fall on the lie.  Can she warm the frozen heart of a man she wants more than physically?  It's going to take more than a kiss. This is the 5th book in the Worth the Fight series .   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  I just want to caution the reader that the order of books intended by author is for a reason and you may miss out on all the fun if you skip ahead. Enzo has wanted Jamie Lynn AKA JL to go out with him for months.  The attraction between them is really strong.  She thinks he is not her type since they are opposites. JL cannot help how she feels about Enzo.  But they both have secrets from their pasts that may interfere with them trying to start a relationship.  Can they give it a go? Enzo just has to convince JL that she is everything.  This story is so good!  It has so much heat.  These are really strong characters who want to control how a relationship evolves.  I cannot wait to see the next installment in this series!  I give this book a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This ARC copy was given by Netgalley.com and its pub...
