“I said I wouldn’t push you, and I meant it. But one day, Chess, you’re going to feel safe enough to let go. And I’m going to be there to catch you when you fall.” ~~The Hot Shot by Kristen Callihan (Game On #4)

This is book #2, in the VIP series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For understanding the series, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order. Sophie meets Gabriel on the airplane to a new job. Only to find out he is basically her new boss. Can she fight the attraction that is thrumming between them? Gabriel AKA "Scottie" find himself annoyed, and then enchanted by Sophie. She is getting under his skin quickly. Is it even possible to resist at this point? This book covered a subject we do not often see written so openly. The loneliness that is felt by these characters in their lives is unexpected from an outside point of view, as they are both normally surrounded by others. I liked the fresh approach. I also liked the humor, the heat, and definitely loved the connection between the two main characters. I enjoyed reading this and cannot wait to read the next installment to the...

Libby is seriously sick. The hottest man ever has mangled her front yard. Just gross. He has gotten sick, made her feel bad, and thoroughly disgusted her. How is this possible? Killian is so glad to be anonymous, knowing it will not last. For the time being his neighbor slash enemy is avoiding him. He cannot stop looking her way. He may have to get to know her better. This book starts out with such fun angst. There is so much humor, and the laughs keep coming. Until the heat kicks in. Then it is all heat and spark. Between these two, you can feel it lifting off the page and seriously almost burning me as the reader. I was fully impressed. I cannot wait to read the next book in this sexified series . I give this read a 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

“Never force something, Drew. A bolt, a pass, a game, whatever." His dark brown eyes held mine. "Force it and you'll lose. Patience and persistence is how you win in life. Take your time, look for the solution, and if it doesn't come to you, fall back, reassess, and try again.” ― The Hook Up by Kristen Callihan. (Game On series book #1)

This is book #4, in the Game On series . This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading this series in order. Finn is stunned to meet Chess. First by her name, then by her talent, and later just by her fabulous self. They are both attracted to one another immediately, but have busy lives and demanding careers. Chess is stunned to find herself interested in the most popular football player in her hometown. She further surprises herself with becoming his friend. Is it actually possible to find something in common with a jock? While this series often has me on my knees, this story had yanked at my heart. Mostly as a simultaneous story to The Game Plan - it makes for an interesting way to read the interacting story lines. I love the characters. I found the real heart wrenching struggle, and the honest way these main love birds treat and talk to eac...

First we were friends. Then we were roommates. Now I want more… What can I say about Chess Copper? The woman is capable of bringing me to my knees. I know this about five minutes after getting naked for her. No one is more surprised than me. The prickly photographer my team hired to shoot our annual charity calendar isn’t my usual type. She’s defense to my offense, a challenge at every turn. But when I’m with her, all the regrets and darkness goes away. She makes life fun. I want to know Chess, be close to her. Which is a bad idea. Chess is looking for a relationship. I’ve never given a woman more than one night. But when fate leaves Chess without a home, I step up and offer her mine. We’re roommates now. Friends without benefits. But it’s getting harder to keep our hands off each other. And the longer we live together the more I realize she’s becoming my everything. Trick is… Now that I’ve made her believe I’m a bad bet,...

This book is # 3 in the Game On series . This book can be read as a standalone novel. It also can be read in order as part of its series, for reader understanding and enjoyment. Ethan and Fiona met through mutual friends. His best friend is married to her sister. So they see each other at family events, holidays, special occasions, etc. He has started to have a thing for her and cannot seem to get her off his mind. Fiona finds herself attracted to the large athlete. She has never liked his "type" before. In fact, she goes out of her way to avoid athletes. She is small and does not like being reminded of it. Together they have sparks that ignite the moment they are in the same room. This book turns up the heat in a big way! I love the character development and the humor as well. I have enjoyed this series immensely and was thrilled to see earlier characters also. I give this story a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ...
