This book starts with a story that does not seem to ring true.  If Piper attempted suicide, why are too many things not adding up?  There is much more to this.  She is sure of it. Boden is not the best spouse for her to have as Piper goes through all of the uncertainty.  Lots of surprises inside.  While still a short story, there is a lot packed into it.   This is a quick and mysterious read.  A bit different from the author's usual fare  I thought that made for a nice change of pace.  I am not sure I was happy how fast the end came together, but I think it is a good read all the same.  I give this book a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This copy was given in exchange for an honest review only.

Hotter

This book was a special Valentine's Day Anthology for the lovers of romance.  It has 9 pretty terrific stories inside.  These stories sure give you choices for what you may be in the mood to read. I read  Naughty Wishes, by Sarah Castille .  This author is a "go to" in my purchasing romance titles.  She hits the bar, raises it, and gives me more.  This story was about a couple who have been married a while.  They have need to spice up things, since in the bedroom loving has been somewhat cooler.  Kylie decides to surprise Dan with a night of delight.  He has a surprise for her too. I found that no matter what I read from this book, it made me have the feels.  I really felt like this was a great collection and I hope these authors make another one next year.  I give this anthology a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This copy was given as a gift for the Valentine holiday.

Little lies

This is the 7th book in The Manhattanites series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading in order. Vive and Rod meet for the first time at the farm.  I say this term loosely since they are both recovering addicts who have had a lot to deal with over the last year.  Vive has great friends who want to help, and that makes all the difference. Rod has had his life torn apart.  Nothing is the same.  He can actually say he has hit rock bottom, and lost everything.  When he comes face to face with his adversary, however, he is not sure at first how to react.  They both are hiding secrets that can change the course of the future for both of them. I felt like this was the best book in the series.  It had such depth.  The characters had to really lose to win.  It was a very powerful story, infused with humor and heat.  The sexy times are really hot!  G...

This is book #6 in The Manhattanites series .  This can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader understanding and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order. Kiki has had it after being dumped by a jerk.  She meets Dejon and Dash and things change almost right away.  First, there is intrigue.  Second, there are sexy times.  Last, there are choices. Dejon & Dash both want her.  There are many secrets being kept on all sides.  Many surprises are in store for the reader .... and I do not want to spoil.  Very hot read for more than one reason.  Perfect for this series, if you ask me.  I was having a little bit of a hard time following but this book picks up pace pretty good.  The mystery throughout makes it fun and exciting too.  I give this a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This copy was given for an honest review.

Sexy set

Image
This is a set of books making a duet of stories that focus on the same character.  It is not necessary to read all the books in order for these series.  I recommend doing so, since these are such fun & sexy reads. In the first book we learn about Taddy Brill and why she is motivated to be on a plane in the first place.  You meet her friends, learn her plans, and basically get to know her character better. In the second book, we meet Warner Truman.  A rich and seemingly spoiled mogul who thinks Taddy should be his as well.  Full of humor, drama and a lot of hot and intense moments, there is something for everyone. I thought there were a lot of surprises for the reader.  The characters are stunning bunch of new adults who are glad to have one another.  Good choice of books to companion one another.  I give this set a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This copy was given in exchange for an honest review.

Blog Tour w/Review # 1 - UNSAID

For fans who loved the snarky wit of Will & Grace and the epic love drama found in Brokeback Mountain comes Avery Aster’s new full-length, standalone contemporary M/M romance novel, Unsaid. Chelsea’s hottie Blake Morgan III has reemerged from a nasty breakup. His marriage was a frigid disaster beyond repair, and he vows to be single—forever. Bruised, but still hot in Prada, he creates his Seven Desires wish list, his sexiest imaginings. Blake soon realizes there’s only one man he may trust to make these uninhibited intentions come to fruition: his best friend Miguel Santana. Lower East Side multimedia artist extraordinaire Miguel Santana may be known as the cocky Latin stud in the city, but all he’s wanted since college was Blake’s hand in marriage. He was livid when Blake walked down the aisle with the wrong guy. Miguel has his own list titled the Seven Needs, which are quite contrary to Blake’s dirty-boy deeds. They involve serious commitments, which ma...
