Kitty's Book Spot!

This is book #3, in  The Hartigans series.   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To avoid spoilers, and to understand the series, I recommend reading these in order. Fallon gets suckered into taking care of a spoiled hockey player when he is ill.  Her friends and family think its funny since she loves hockey and is a nurse.  Being attracted to the big lug isn't what she plans either. Zach does not understand why so many people want to hate on him.  All hockey player have off days, even some off seasons.  Why is it someone wants him to suffers so much?  Then an angel comes to make him better with her bitter tongue.  If only he didn't want to see his torturer naked. This battle of wills turns into such a great story for the two most hardheaded characters!  I loved the banter, so fun and witty.  Lots of heat and more people from the great series and families that make this such a good book.  I enjoyed this ...

Lucy and Frankie have already met through mutual friends.  When he rescues her - literally from a jerk who has approached her.  Can Lucy control her urges when she finds herself attracted to the hunky firefighter? Frankie has suddenly found himself in a position to get to know the elusive Lucy.  The more her learns, the hotter the attraction between them fizzles and pops until an explosion is inevitable.  Now to convince her what he feels for her is real. This is a great installment to  The Hartigans series .  I am finding that each book gets better and better.  The family is fun to read about.  Each character has their own quirks and personality.  It was truly a joy to read each page!  I cannot wait for the next book in this incredible  series.   I give this  5/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

This is an anthology of Hockey stories, centered around a championship team.  I chose  Deep Check  by  Kimberly Kincaid  for my review.  These books can be read as a standalone novel, but are more fun when read together. Finn and January have a history.  One that goes back to high school.  The last time they saw one another, their friendship was ruined.  Then tragedy struck.  Can they repair the pain and move on? January wants to forgive Finn.  It was not his fault she has been hot for him for years.  She does not want a repeat of last time.  Maybe they have both grown enough to make a better future. This story was so bittersweet.  They are both missing their buddy.  These characters have so much heat and heart.  I was truly excited to turn each page!  I give this anthology a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Dodge and Harper have serious attraction from the start.  Dodge is practically drooling from the first time they met.  Harper is not sure she can spare him the time of day. With outside forces helping the attraction to go from a spark into a flame - can they still resist?  The hot scenes are worth reading, that is for sure! Harper has a job to do and has no time for a playboy with arrogance issues.  Dodge and Harper ultimately want the same thing.  Don't they? I found this book to be a fun read.  I was a little put off at the characters attitudes.  I felt they were a bit selfish.  Overall has enough to make it worth the while.  I give this book a 2/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This ARC was given by Netgalley and its publishers in return for an honest review only.
