Kitty's Book Spot!

This is the 3rd book in the World's End series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading the series in order. Lexan AKA Alex has been sent to kill Enzo.  They meet when he applies to work on Enzo's ranch.  In order to study the man, prior to killing him, he becomes his employee. Enzo and his sister befriend the unknown Alex.  Not knowing the danger they are in, they treat him like a newfound friend.  When tragedy strikes, they are separated.   This is a powerful story about corruption & fighting for the upper hand.  I found the characters very compelling and real.  This series sure makes a person stand up and take notice.  I cannot wait to see what it next!  I give this book a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This ARC copy was given in exchange for an honest review.

Enzo and Lexan meet when Lexan purchases Enzo from human traffickers who sell him into slavery.  Lexan is just not that type of owner and has different plans for Enzo.  Only catch - he can never leave. Enzo is upset from the beginning.  He wants to go home.  Check on his family.  He does not understand the goodness in Lexan and why he allows him to be normal and not his slave. Lexan had purchased Enzo, yes.  He has never seen anyone as beautiful as Enzo and is seriously attracted to him.  He flirts with him all the time.  He even takes care of him. This is a short, yet sweet story introducing the series.  I am interested to find out what happens in the next installment.  Almost felt too short.  I liked the connection between them but I need more story to figure this out.  I give this book a 3/5 Kitty Paws UP! ***This copy was given in exchange for review purposes only.
