Kitty's Book Spot!

This is book #3, in the Daring Divorcees series.   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader enjoyment, I recommend reading the entire series. Evelyn seems like she has a pretty great life.  Being a TV producer has its ups and downs, but overall she likes it.  Her best friend is a hunky firefighter and that is a big plus too.   Owen has wanted to be more in Evelyn's life.  Being her best friend is a perk, but he is always wishing for that "extra" chance.  Will he take it when it arrives? This story was what I classify as a slow burn.  The characters are actually pretty deep, and very interesting.  I like their friendship and the loyalty is obvious.  I was pretty pleased when they started to try and see how they could be together.  Great addition to the series and a pretty hot read.  I give this a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This ARC copy was given by Netgalley and its publishers, in exchange ...

This is the 2nd book in the GRIP series .  This series is a spin off to the  acclaimed Soul series by the same author.   I recommend reading these titles in order to avoid spoilers and enjoy the series for what it is. Marlon AKA Grip & Bristol's story continues in this heartfelt novel of love and all that it colors in your life.  It took him eight years to convince  Bristol to give him a chance he has no intention of blowing.  All around him there are factors at work trying to sabotage the relationship he has finally won. Bristol feels like she is on a learning curve.  There is so much about Grip's life she is still adapting to.  She does not want to give him any regrets for choosing her.  Only there is so much coming neither of them is prepared for....... This was truly an emotional read.  With such a beautiful story, even the words are very poetic and I find myself wishing I had them set to music that I could list...

Jordan is a producer on a TV reality series.  She is searching for the perfect man to attract the women.  Also, he needs to have left them at the altar.  Why would she be attracted to that? Luke is the man in question.  Talking to him, and the folks around him, only brings more questions.  If he is a runaway groom - why are the ladies loving him?
