This book is technically the 4th book in the series, though it is labeled as book #3 in the Leaning Into Stories series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. To avoid spoilers and have a greater understanding of the series, I recommend reading these books in order. Josh is unsure what he wants to do with his future, now that his current job is complete. He is trying to work this out as he runs into an ex that he has never really gotten over. Can he trust his feelings to try again with Finn, even though he is a mess about the rest of his life? This is book #3, in the Leaning Into series.   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To avoid spoilers, and to better understand the series, I recommend reading it in order. Nick is a tech genius, who tends to forget everything when he is making better things happen in the lab.  For real life and relationships - he does not do so well.  In the middle of a deal with a deadline, he is hoping for a miracle.  Hoping he can still trust those closes to him. Wes owns an amazing winery where Nick purchased some wine.  They meet when Nick goes to the winery, and unexpectedly has the worst run of luck he has had in some time.  Despite all the animosity and attraction crackling in the air, Wes does his best to be kind to Nick. Mick is just back visiting his mother.  Trying to help her move on from the pain and the house that haunts them both.  Meeting Quinn makes staying in town a bit more exciting.  She is in need of a steady hand, and it could be his that helps her up. This is book #4, in The Elite series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader understanding and enjoyment, I always recommend reading series books in order. Cassandra get told by her boss he is doing a favor for a friend, and she is recruited as the agent who will handle his client.  When she meets Brett, she realizes there is an attraction there.  Because of her past, she is wary about getting involved with another athlete. Brett cannot believe the situation he has put himself in.  He knows he can do better.  Everyone is treating him like a child.  Except Cassandra, she sends enough heat his way to make an oven.  Can they build a future in the middle of cleaning up a mess? Jarrett is sent to protect an ATF agent who has decided to testify against a really bad man.  He notices how capable and strong he is immediately.  He just really wishes he was not attracted to him. Thayne knew he would have a target on his back.  He can take care of himself.  His boss has other ideas.  Jarrett is sent to protect him.  After a while he wants more. I went into this story not really knowing what to expect.  This is a new author to me.  I found the book to be not only intriguing, but seriously hot.  These two characters are more than capable of taking care of themselves.  Now they must learn to care for each other.  I cannot wait to read more of the Death And Destruction series!  I give this story a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Bristol and Marlon AKA Grip's story continues in this amazingly touching and yet intense story.  Grip has been chasing her since that very special moment back in college.  The best Spring Break of their lives. Marlon AKA Grip, meeting Bristol is full of laughter and tears.  Right out of the gate, this prequel for the upcoming story in Grip is moving.  Bristol comes to visit her brother, and Grip's best friend in California while she is on spring break.
