Henley has just gone through the worst thing any teenager should have to right before college.  She has lost her very best friend to cancer.  Now she is trying to stay loyal by finishing her besties bucket list.   Lincoln is intrigued by the new blonde who give him so much crap.  He loves that nothing gets past her.  This is a woman he could fall for.  He has to focus on football, but maybe there is room for more? This was a very sweet story.  I found that I enjoyed the author's twists and turns for this couple.  They were truly meant to be.  So many surprises in this book too.  The pace was pretty steady, and the story rich and solid.  I give this read 4/5 Kitty's Book Spot!   Forbidden   romance   Contemporary

This is the box set of the Over The Fence series.   This is a collection of several books from the same series.  Each book is actually a standalone novel.  Works well if you read them in order.   For review purposes I have chosen to focus on  PITCHING TO WIN . Minka has had one major hurt after another.  The latest being the high school humiliation that everyone dreads.  Only in her case it may be repeating itself. This is book #2, in the Rogue Academy series.   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader understanding, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this sexy series in order. Kingston is at the top of his game.  He has made it to the best of the best.  Now he wants to be with the best.  Attracted from the first moment they met, he has wanted Poppy.  Chasing after women is just not the same now. Poppy is sick of being lusted after by men who feel it is their right.  Overpaid, or born into money they all seem to be just overgrown boys who want to add her to their toy collection.  She has plans to be more than just a rich mans conquest. The chemistry with this couple is off the charts.  Every time they are even in the same room the temperature rises.  This  series  seems to just get hotter.  I love the banter.  I love the pace that is nice and strong.  The heat is nice and hot.  ...

Aria has lived near the ballers her whole life.  Now she works for the very college that brings them to their small town.  She avoids them all, even dresses down as not to attract any to herself. Jude finds her attractive anyway.  He sets out to find more about her.  Only he is already on thin ice.  He is pushing the envelope because he can.  Aria wants nothing to do with someone who is so cavalier with the rest of his life.   This is a story that I Was not sure I would understand.  Outside of reading, I am not real patient with someone like this main character.  Seeing it through their eyes however, I now understand why he appeals to someone more laid back.  I found the banter interesting.  The heat was certainly there.  And the friendships were very cool.  I cannot wait to read more about this  series.   I give this a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

This is book #2 in The Tenth Girl series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader understanding, and too avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order. Annabelle is on the verge of getting everything she has worked so hard for.  The only thing that seems to be stopping her right now is the mad feelings she has for her ex-boyfriend who just moved back to town.  Can she move past it when she sees him everywhere? Boone cannot get past the fact he literally ran into his ex.  She left a scar he is not sure he can get over.  He needs to concentrate on his new job.  Easier said than done.
