Kitty's Book Spot!

This is book #3, in Flirting With Fame series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader understanding, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order. Layla is starting work at a new job in New York.  She wants to do well but it worried if anyone finds out about her past with her blog, it will be all over.  Secrets make it hard to move forward. Shane goes after what he wants - and he wants Layla.  Right from the beginning they share a spark and a sense of humor.  Can they make a future with the past staying hidden?  If it all comes out will they get past the deceit of a withheld story? The music business is treacherous at best, but the characters in this series are HOT and they know it.  This story was full of sizzle and sexy.  I loved that there was room for bonds of friendship to form under high pressure conditions too.  The characters were complicated and made for an interesting read....

Naomi has always wanted one thing: an address in the Upper East Side.  Only it takes more than address to have the New York Elite accept her.  She is already a strong and powerful woman in her own right, owning a jewelry empire as she does.  What more can she do to get where she wants to be? Gianna AKA "Gigi" meets a handsome stranger fighting to keep her cab right in the rain of the intense New York City.  She is very late for her first chance at her new job and does not want to blow it.  Even if he is a sexy devil tempting her with all his charms. Prince Maximus AKA "Max" knows a good thing when he sees it.  From the moment he meets Gigi, he finds her irresistible and cannot wait to have a taste.  When he finds out he is her boss - he nearly walks away.  If only he could stay away..... This is book #3, in the Platonically Complicated series.   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To avoid spoilers, and to fully understand the series, I recommend reading these in order.   Lucas finds himself attracted to his best friend's sister.  He tries to hold out, since she is also his friend, but the thoughts just get more frequent and more dangerous.  When a mutual friend to them both suggests they get together, even fake, he has no idea what he is in for. Kate is wishing she could go back in time.  To a place when she had no feelings for her brother's best friend.  Lucas intrigues her.  He also heats her up when he touches her anywhere. Sebastian is involved in the family business.  Suddenly getting bad news, more than once, and he has no idea how to go on from here.  Then to his astonishment, an old flame returns.  He is still extremely attracted to her and wants to show her he has grown. Ashley is unsure of her footing around Sebastian.  He still steals her breath, and makes her heart race.  Coming home after all this time has made some things change, and others have remained the same. Violet AKA "Vi" is told by her boss to report to the CEO in New York.  She finds him so insanely attractive, she can barely contain herself.  She wants to do her job well. Axel is attracted to Vi right from the start.  He knows as her boss, he has to stay away.  She makes him want to protect her.  Can this be more than the surface heat? This story just grabbed me right away.  I loved the humor that was woven throughout the book.  I truly enjoyed the heat between these two as a couple.  The banter was lively and the pace went really well.  I cannot wait to read the next installment in the  series!  I give this a 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Matt is good at his job.  He also good at playing in his down time.  The only real woman he is interested lately is Samantha.  Now he needs her help or he could lose everything. Samantha wants Matt.  All the time.  She hates that she does, but cannot turn it off.  The sparks between them are strong.  If she agreed to help him, can they build the trust that can bring the joy of a future as well? This is book #4, in the Brooklyn Bruisers series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To avoid spoilers, and to fully understand this amazing series, I recommend reading in order. Rebecca AKA "Becca" has family obligations that come before her own needs.  All. The. Time.  When is it time for her?  She has an amazing job, great friends and co-workers, and she is just too busy to enjoy. Nate is a busy man.  He owns many successful businesses, including a hockey team.  He has worked with Becca for many years.  Now he feels an attraction he is ashamed to act on.  What would she think?  This is a long awaited story.  I was so excited to read this book, and could not contain my excitement!  It was everything I wanted and more.  I got more humor,  heat, banter, sexy times, hot hockey players - there is something for everyone!  I just really like these characters and was so glad they were meant to be....

This is book #9, in the  Memories With The Breakfast Club series in the Kindle Worlds .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading this series in order. Reeve applies for his dream job in the city.  Then his boss makes him offer he has to refuse.  To make matters even worse, the attraction between them intensifies.  You just cannot be intimate with your boss.   Leo has been hurt so much in the past.  He has so many walls up.  Each day it seems like Reeve is breaking them down one by one.  Can he trust that his heart is telling him the truth? This was such an amazing story.  There is so much to it.  The characters are both strong.  The banter is set at a nice quick pace.  This was a great addition to this  series .  It was exciting to read the character development and see the conclusion come together.  This book was a 3/5 ...

Blake starts a new job after thinking life is over as she knows it.  I sometimes think it is this anger that has her pushing through to pay her bills as she begins her new adventure.  She meets a girl at the office who is so jealous of her, it is kind of pathetic. Silas is hot and gives her something to look at.  Man candy if you will.  It just does not seem to help the sheen that is all over this new job.  It is not a good gloss, and it is taking its toll on Blake.  What should she do? I found this book to be funny at times.  I know that many will think it is too funny and just die of laughter.  I stopped laughing about two chapters in, since I found this character kind of pathetic.  I had a hard time pushing myself to finish the story.  Word to the wise - this book has language meant only for adult ears.  I personally think the humor would have come across better without the extra vulgarity, but maybe that is just me....

This is book #2, in the Sugar Lake series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader enjoyment and understanding of the series, I recommend reading this great series in order. Bridgette has a lot on her plate.  Being a single mom is not east.  She has had drama in her past, and she is trying not to make more for her son to have in the future.  If only she could resist her neighbor! Bodhi has no intention of giving in to temptation.  Just because he is attracted to the sexy Bridgette, does not mean he has to act on it.  He knows he cannot offer her a future, so what can you do? This is the 2nd book in the GRIP series .  This series is a spin off to the  acclaimed Soul series by the same author.   I recommend reading these titles in order to avoid spoilers and enjoy the series for what it is. Marlon AKA Grip & Bristol's story continues in this heartfelt novel of love and all that it colors in your life.  It took him eight years to convince  Bristol to give him a chance he has no intention of blowing.  All around him there are factors at work trying to sabotage the relationship he has finally won. Bristol feels like she is on a learning curve.  There is so much about Grip's life she is still adapting to.  She does not want to give him any regrets for choosing her.  Only there is so much coming neither of them is prepared for....... This was truly an emotional read.  With such a beautiful story, even the words are very poetic and I find myself wishing I had them set to music that I could list...
