Kitty's Book Spot!

Penn has much to blame on Daria.  After he helped her to shoo his sister away, he spends the next four years on ice.  Literally not feeling anything, until he sees her again. Daria has been trying to be seen.  She is not seen or heard at home.  She gravitates toward the loners, even though she is part of the popular kids at school.  Her attraction to Penn is the only thing she really feels. This dark romance was quite the surprise.  I felt all the feels.  I laughed, cried, and basically begged for mercy as I got closer to the end of the book.  This is a story full of very deep and rich characters.  I found myself spellbound by them and wondering what they would do next.  I think this was a great read.  I give this a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

This is book #2, in the Steele Brothers series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader understanding and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this great series in order. Brody has been asking Anderson AKA "Anders" out for some time now.  It's not like Anders wants to say no.  He just knows he could drown if he says yes.  Then they change their status to roommates. Anders is Brody's idea of perfection.  He is HOT with a capitol H!  If he could just stop turning him down and give things a chance..... well maybe someday.  For now, they will be friends and build trust. This was a great addition to the  series !  I love that the characters were really flawed in ways that seem impossible.  The story went by at a fast pace and I could not put it down.  It is amazing how the author can touch on these complex subjects and not gloss over but make them real.  Really impressive to me.  I loved...

Friends To Lovers series continues with another epic love story about best friends who must go through the fire to find what burns in their hearts.  A truly impressive story about love, loss, and strength. The gang is back in this second installment about pain, growth, and real friendship.  Carter, Molly, and the rest teach us what love is all about.  This book being Carter & Molly's story. Molly has always wanted to be a doctor.  Carter only wishes to be a fireman.  When tragedy strikes, can the future still be clear?   Sweet and sad tale of five friends and how life changes them as they grow.  I loved that characters, the friendships, and the sexy.  There is a solid mystery to solve as well.  I was truly enchanted.  I give this story a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This early copy was given in exchange for an honest review.

Jonah & Davie met in high school.  Jonah always stood up for Davie, as he was bullied a lot.  Being different apparently makes you a target. Davie, never thought he was worth anything.  Never really had love.  So when Jonah tells him he is amazing and perfect.  He has always believed in him. This is a sweet and almost bittersweet story.  These characters are fun to read about and the character development is like a prize.  This was definitely worth the read.  I give this book a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ****I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Dylan & Cameron grew up together.  They did everything together.  In their teens, they fell in love too.  Growing together was their greatest happiness. Cameron went on to live a pretty good life, without Dylan.  Dylan had found the dark, negative side to life - away from Cameron.  When he saw him again, he was afraid to say anything.   Dylan and Cameron want to find each other again.  How patient can you be to relive a first love?  Can it be rekindled at a later date?  Dylan only wants Cameron.  Nothing maters more. This book was so touching.  So very compelling to read.  I was spellbound.  I hurt when they hurt and I cheered when they triumphed.  I loved every page.  I give this story a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This ARC was given in exchange for an honest review.

This is the 4th book in the Better Than series .   This book can be read as a standalone.  The reader will enjoy and have better understanding of book content, should they read the series in the order intended. This is book # 5 in the Alluring Indulgence series .   It can be read as a standalone novel, but reader may enjoy further and understand better by reading in the order intended. Ethan and Beau have been playing a game of cat and mouse for some time.  They both have feelings for one another.  They both are very attracted to each other.  Only one of them is openly out though. Ethan had such a traumatic experience in his past, he is afraid to come forward and tell his family.  He is not sure how they would react, and it scares him.  After what he has been through, he is very cautious in his love life. This is an amazing story of love and acceptance.  It is also so dang hot to see those Walker Brothers defend their own!  Hard to put down, and worth every minute.  I give this book a 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Taylor and Hunter met when he became their roommate in college.  She was shocked that the school would not even give her notice about his arrival.  They get along like oil and water as they try to survive living in the same room. As they get to know one another, and even have a class together, they discover they actually have things in common.  And when he cooks.... well everyone is happy.  Hunter is just as closed off as she is, as they both have pasts that were filled with pain and secrets. Hunter also has the hots for Taylor.  She is attracted to him as well, just does not want him to know it.  Everyone around them sees it though.
