Take your time, look for the solution, and if it doesn't come to you, fall back, reassess, and try again.” ― The Hook Up by Kristen Callihan. (Game On series book #1)

This is book #8, in the Aces Hockey series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader understanding and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order. Cam bets his teammates he can get a date with the hot girl.  She seems to not be interested in him, but there is something that just gives him hope.  Then when they try to go on a date, the mishaps begin. Olivia has no idea how to approach Cam about helping her out on a professional level.  They start trying to date and it seems to be almost a wedge between them.  Then she gets to know him.  It changes everything. This series is just so good!  I was laughing my way through this book.  The characters are such a joy to read.  There is heat, humor and heart.  Great combination.  I give this a 4/5 Kitty's Book Spot! ***This ARC copy was given by Netgalley and its publishers, in exchange for an honest review.

This is book #4, in the Game On series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading this series in order. Finn is stunned to meet Chess.  First by her name, then by her talent, and later just by her fabulous self.  They are both attracted to one another immediately, but have busy lives and demanding careers. Chess is stunned to find herself interested in the most popular football player in her hometown.  She further surprises herself with becoming his friend.  Is it actually possible to find something in common with a jock? While this series  often has me on my knees, this story had yanked at my heart.  Mostly as a simultaneous story to  The Game Plan  - it makes for an interesting way to read the interacting story lines.  I love the characters.  I found the real heart wrenching struggle, and the honest way these main love birds treat and talk to eac...

This book in #6 in the Hometown Players series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader understanding, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this outstanding series in order. Alex is known for being the party boy.  He is tired of the routine, and wanting something more.  He finally meets someone worth waiting for. Brie is not impressed with Alex when she meets him.  He comes across as a dumb jock.  When they meet again, she is shocked he has found her and wonders how and why? This was a fast paced whirl of feelings.  I love the banter between these characters.  The cameos made by earlier beloved characters made it all the more fun.  This series is always a go to read and worth every turn of the page!!  I give this a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Love is a gamble

This book is # 3 in the Game On series .   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  It also can be read in order as part of its series, for reader understanding and enjoyment. Ethan and Fiona met through mutual friends.  His best friend is married to her sister.  So they see each other at family events, holidays, special occasions, etc.  He has started to have a thing for her and cannot seem to get her off his mind. Fiona finds herself attracted to the large athlete.  She has never liked his "type" before.  In fact, she goes out of her way to avoid athletes.  She is small and does not like being reminded of it. Together they have sparks that ignite the moment they are in the same room. This book turns up the heat in a big way!  I love the character development and the humor as well.  I have enjoyed this series immensely and was thrilled to see earlier characters also.  I give this story a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ...
