This is book #4 in the Taking Shots series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To not read a spoiler, and to understand this really great series, I recommend reading in order. Lindsay has come a long way to not be like she used to.  Ryder threatens all this because he is still part of the "hockey life" she has left behind her.  As their attraction heats up and she needs his help to cement her future, she struggles with whether she is doing the right thing. Ryder wanted Lindsay from first sight.  He found her beautiful, smart, and completely amazing.  Winning her over and not being a threat to her new life is a challenge.  He is never one to not get what he goes after. Claire meets Jake as she becomes his tutor.  He has to keep his grades up to stay on the football team.  They clash right from the start. Jake resents being told what to do like a child.  Then he finds himself attracted to the most unlikely girl yet.  Can he overcome his own fears for a future? I loved this book because it was REAL.  I mean what the characters are thinking are things we have all thought.  The pace was well done.  I just hope the author continues and gives more on the secondary characters that seemed interesting.  I give this book a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

This is the 3rd book in the Silver Strands series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader enjoyment and understanding of the series, I recommend reading in order. Genevieve & Adam have both been hit with disappointments.  When they turn to one another and "Marry Me" falls out... How do you go on from there?  Is it a joke? Adam is sure no one sexy like Genevieve wants him.  She is sure no one notices she is smart and wants her.  Can they learn along the way that its what inside that counts?  Maybe what the heart needs is more than what the eyes can see.
