Blog Tour w/Review - Spies, Lies, And Allies

Image
About Spies, Lies, and Allies: Summers are supposed to be fun, right? Not mine. I've got a job at my dad's company, which is sponsoring a college scholarship competition. I just found out that, in addition to my job assisting the competing interns, I'm supposed to vote for the winner. Totally not what I signed up for.    There's a crazy guy running the competition like it's an episode of Survivor. Then there’s Carlos, who is, well, very distracting –– in a good way. But I can't even think about him that way because Crazy Guy says any fraternizing on the job means instant disqualification for the intern involved.   As if that's not enough, an anonymous weirdo with insider intel is trying to sabotage my dad's company on social media...and I'm afraid it's working.   Much as I'd love to quit, I can't. Kristoffs Never Quit is our family motto. I just hope there's more than one survivor by the end ...

Laurel wants a summer job, but she wants to spend time with her incredibly busy workaholic dad also.  Offering her services as an assistant, she ends up meeting with all the company's interns who are fighting for a scholarship.  When she finds out who she is actually working with she freaks. Carlos is just one of the hotties she is to help over the summer.  He is a busy family man, who also hopes to get to college.  The sparks between them are lit almost immediately.  Only problem with this is the timing.  He is disqualified for the scholarship if he is seen dating or fraternizing with Laurel. This book just shot out the gate.  The release timing was excellent, with all of the great Star Wars and pop culture references.  Laughing my way through, I had a hard time putting the book down just to eat!  This author has quickly become a must for me.  I give this story a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This early copy was given in exchan...

Crushing my heart

Vivian AKA "Viv" meets newcomer Dallas when her mom hires him to work at their bookstore.  She is attracted to him immediately and wants to avoid falling for someone her hormones lead her to.  She is working on finding a interim boyfriend she won't go gaga over. Dallas is a temptation for Viv, and he is attracted to her as well.  There are many secrets they are keeping from one another.  This does not stop them from starting a tentative friendship.  Can these friends learn about love before its too late? I was so intrigued by this story I could not put it down!  Page after page of humble and honest feelings, (even if they were being denied) and I ate it up.  This author is a pleasure to read.  I give this book a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This ARC copy was given by Netgalley and its publishers in exchange for an honest review only.

Trina and Slade know one another from school.  Now she is assigned to him for a summer job project.  His mom wants to teach him responsibility and show his father he is growing up. Trina also knows that Slade is a player.  He is known for never being seen with the same girl twice.  She knows she is not his type so she is trying not to get any of those ideas... Slade cannot believe how easy the money is with his new job.  Too bad he has a partner in this.  She is kind of wound tight and he is hoping he can make it through the summer without having to quit. Trina has found right away that Slade is not only smart, but his charm with the girls goes a long way with this nanny gig.  He has already been helpful, the kids love his ideas, and he is really trying to do the job well. Slade is finding himself attracted to the brainy girl.  Trina has so much more than a brain and he cannot stop thinking about her.  Even when they are...
