This book is #7, in the 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes series.   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader enjoyment, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order. Trey meets Mia in Paris, thanks to his mother making herself unavailable.  He is overly tired, overly hungry, and ready to scream.  Then his scheming mother tries again, and he is suddenly wandering the city with a beautiful woman. Mia does not want to be attracted to Trey.  Doing a friend a favor is one thing.  It's totally another when you can't resist and kiss him.  She needs to keep to why she came to Paris and promises she has made.
