This is book #2, in the Getting Hitched In Dixie series.   While each book in this series in listed as a standalone and can be read that way, I recommend reading them in order.  Well worth it if you do. Jemma has an upheaval in the middle of the school year.  Luckily she ends up in the most heavenly small town.  When she meets her neighbor, she decides he must hate helping her.   Wyatt cannot believe how attracted to his daughter's teacher he is.  He knows she should be off limits.  She is not planning to stay, either.  If he could just turn the attraction off enough to be just friends..... This is book #2 in the Fighting For Her series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader understanding and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading these in order. Liam is Chelsea's best friend.  They met when she moved in next door at least a decade ago.  He is attracted to her and is trying desperately to be her friend only.  She needs him and he needs her. Ivy is best friends with both Jackson, and his sister.  They are almost like family.  Almost.  Except she has serious feeling she does not want to admit about Jackson.  They have a hot history in more ways than one. Jake & Darby are neighbors, and he wants to be more.  He also owns her favorite restaurant and she feels it is a little too close for comfort.  What if something were to go wrong? Darby does not believe in happily ever after.  Not anymore.  She has the case files to prove her theory.  So the fact she is attracted to Jake bothers her.  How can she want someone so wrong for her? This is book #4 in the Taking Shots series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To not read a spoiler, and to understand this really great series, I recommend reading in order. Lindsay has come a long way to not be like she used to.  Ryder threatens all this because he is still part of the "hockey life" she has left behind her.  As their attraction heats up and she needs his help to cement her future, she struggles with whether she is doing the right thing. Ryder wanted Lindsay from first sight.  He found her beautiful, smart, and completely amazing.  Winning her over and not being a threat to her new life is a challenge.  He is never one to not get what he goes after.
