Kitty's Book Spot!

Sutton has come back to her hometown after college.  She is trying to start fresh.  Prior to leaving for college she had told the love of her life she wanted him.  He pushed her away, saying she deserved better.  What could be better than the love of your life?  Hoping to move on she comes home to start her business. Grady is told by a local police officer he is going to try to date Sutton when she gets home.  This man is his enemy, and it stirs something inside him.  He would not want any other man to touch his Sutton.  Is she his?  He better do something fast.  It may be too late. Such a tender and sincere story.  I loved every page and read it all at once in one sitting.  No putting this one down.  Lovely story about great odds that must be beaten.  With real love and real hope.  I found this one to be truly inspiring as well as a joy to read.  Some great sexy times too. This is book # 3 in the Harmony Pointe series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To avoid spoilers, and to fully understand the series, I recommend reading this series in order. Piper is very set in her ways.  She realizes she wants a family, like her siblings, but is not sure how to get that into her lifestyle of working on a construction crew.  She is well respected in her field, and has no prospects right now. Harley takes exception to Piper not acknowledging him in her life.  True they are friends.  The best of friends, really.  He has loved her for years and now wants her to see how much she loves him too. Such a sweet and slow burn.  I found this to be a really good read.  The story has amazing heat and sexy times, but still is very touching and sincere in its friendship values.  I loved the banter of all the friends.  This series is great and this was such a good installment!  I give this read...

This is book #13, in the Ace's Wild series.   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  This series is a whole lot of fun.  Comes highly recommended, and not just by me. Jamie has made it through the storm, only to find out he is the only one of his party to get there.  When he finds himself alone with the proprietor's son, he figures he will wait it out.  The storm is raging both inside and out.  Can he resist? Wyatt had been helping his parents remodel, and decided to stay on and see this event through.  Little did he know the hottest man he has seen in a while would step through the doors and be his alone for a couple days.  Should he resist when a gift like that appears? Such an amazing connection is shared by these characters!  I was hooked and could not wait for the final pages.  Always bittersweet.  I was enjoying every laugh and every touch.  This was a great story to read over the holidays.  ...

This is the 2nd book in the Rosewood Bay series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading this series in order. Phoebe is shocked to see Jake on a work site she has been asked to check up on.  She had no idea that he would be there.  Not prepared to find out he has another child, she is wondering how to talk to him about hers. Jake has had an incredibly stressful life.  From one painful past, to the struggling for a foothold future, he is just trying to make it all work.  He is blown away when Phoebe walks in the door of his current project. Jack has been in love with Maddie for so long.  He has no idea how to tell her he wants to try again.  He is trying so hard to be a good dad to their son.  He makes room for them in his life.   To the consternation of his friends, he makes her a priority. Maddie has a hot past with Jack.  They are making it also a hot present.  Can she trust a man who has admitted to cheating on her?  Is there a way to meet in the middle?  When her current man breaks her heart  - it is easier to give up then to trust again. Brynn is given a bet by her besties to choose the next man she sees as a potential hook up.  She has her ex in the same room, so she gives in.  Little does she know, that he turns out to be the hottest item in man candy.  Worse, he knows her friends too. Tom is not going to turn down a hottie who is all over him.  He hasn't felt good about himself in a while.  This run in only saddens him when he cannot find her the next day.  Fate has more in store, however, and soon the details get him revving. Ivy is best friends with both Jackson, and his sister.  They are almost like family.  Almost.  Except she has serious feeling she does not want to admit about Jackson.  They have a hot history in more ways than one. Jackson has always wanted Ivy for his own.  They have serious chemistry and sparks are always flying when they are in the same room.  Now, he has the chance to spend time with her and maybe get her to see him in a new light?   Lots of humor, and very sexy story!  I loved the characters right from the get go.  I really felt like this was a compelling and interesting story with deep characters.  You can actually feel their pain and happiness leap off the page.  I give this a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This ARC copy was given in exchange for an honest review by its publishers, along with Netgalley.

Ryder & Jason meet and have immediate attraction.  Among the shared interests, are the cute puppies who need love.  Ryder no longer has the patience for someone who is really not into him.  His last relationship was enough. Jason cannot help how he feels.  He also feels like he never tell anyone how he really feels.  Every time he thinks he can, he chickens out.  Is what he feels for Ryder enough to give him the strength? This story was very entertaining.  It also had moments where it felt kind of slow.  The family aspect was amazing and I hope we see more of this in later series books.  The characters were an interesting mix and felt like opposites attract.  I give this story a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Leah meets Sam under some frustrating circumstances.  She believes he could never be interested in her, since she feels she is overweight and not attractive to him.  How can she win a man when she doesn't like herself? Sam is attracted to  Leah right away.  He is dead set against relationships, due to dating a real loser in the past.  After learning how he has hurt  Leah, however, he shows what a gentleman he can be. Seriously fun and heartwarming story.  I love how the author portrays each avenue of their personalities.  The characters just jump off the page.  The chemistry is seriously HOT!  I give this book a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

This is book # 2 in the Heartbreaker Bay series.   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading this series in the order intended. Keane & Willa have a past.  Not a good one, nothing worth remembering.  So why is Willa so mad that Keane doesn't remember? Willa is surrounded by friends as her family now.  She makes her own way in the world.  Now, a sexy piece of her past has bulldozed his way back into her life.  Can they learn to forgive and move on? This is such an amazing series.  The characters are deep, the sexy scenes are HOT, and the friendships are forever.  I am truly impressed and eagerly awaiting the next book.  I give this story a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This ARC copy was given in exchange for an honest review.
