This book in #6 in the Hometown Players series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader understanding, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this outstanding series in order. Alex is known for being the party boy.  He is tired of the routine, and wanting something more.  He finally meets someone worth waiting for. Brie is not impressed with Alex when she meets him.  He comes across as a dumb jock.  When they meet again, she is shocked he has found her and wonders how and why? This was a fast paced whirl of feelings.  I love the banter between these characters.  The cameos made by earlier beloved characters made it all the more fun.  This series is always a go to read and worth every turn of the page!!  I give this a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

“I know everything about you. I know how soft your skin is, how your lips feel on my skin, how your hips feel in my hands, how you taste - how every part of you tastes!” ~~ Victoria Denault, Making a Play (Hometown Players # 2)

“I take a step back and put my hand out to keep him from coming any closer. "What do you want from me, Devin?" "I want you to stop." "Stop what?" "Stop having flings. Don't move on from ours." His hazel eyes are leveled on me with such a clear, focused stare that I get goose bumps. "I'm your final move.” ― Victoria Denault, The Final Move (Hometown Players series book # 3)

THE FINAL MOVE by Victoria Denault ( December 8, 2015 ; Forever Yours E-Book; Hometown Players: Book 3)   Hockey legend Devin Garrison thought he blew his shot. But his relationship with Callie Caplan just went into overtime. Sexy, rich, and one of the biggest stars in the NHL, Devin Garrison has always been the one who had it all. That is until his marriage falls apart and he realizes he has to start over. If he's honest, there has only been one woman who ever really excited him-Callie Caplan. They shared a night that was hotter than the late-summer sun, but in an instant-Callie was gone, pretending it never happened. Callie Caplan isn't the wild child people think she is. It's true she's avoided relationships, but only because she's seen how crazy love can be. And her messy, imperfect life is crazy enough without opening her heart to a man-even one as picture perfect as Devin. But when fate brings them back together-just as they need each other most-...

Make your move

This is book 3 in the Hometown Players series .  This book most certainly can be read as a standalone.  I just advise against it, since the characters and continuing story may be spoiled for those that have not read it in order first.  This series is worth it! Devin and Callie have history that goes back to when they were children.  They grew up basically together and their siblings all played with them on the playground and the ice.  Devin and Callie also have a personal history that only one other person knows. Now, Devin is an NHL hockey player for a New York team.  Callie gets a job working nearby and he offers to have her stay with him.  She is one of the few people who know he is separated from his wife.  Callie is also fantastic with his son. Callie is doing well in her career too.  She is one of the youngest in her field to be in charge of costumes on a TV show set.  While she plans to have a family one day, she does...
