This is book #2, in the Chicago Rebels series . This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order. Isobel has a history with Vadim. An incredibly complex history, that makes it hard for Isobel to even confide in her sisters about it. Suddenly she has to work with him again, since he is on their team. Will the past and future secrets that they share ruin all the progress? Vadim has not realized that he was missing Isobel until he saw her again. Now he realizes just what he needs. He just has to come up with a plan. If the secrets of their pasts come to light - can they still have a future? Such an incredible series! I love that each and every character is so different. These are really complex and interesting MC's that take us through it all. I could not put this book down. Engaging in many forms and filled with surprises, t...

The Chicago Rebels series continues with the story about Remy and Harper. This book can be read as a standalone novel. To avoid spoilers, and for full understanding of the series, I recommend reading this hot series in order. Harper has had many emotional blows in a row. Trying to be a good team owner, she makes the decisions based solely on what the team needs. Always sacrificing her own needs to keep the team solid. Remy had thought he would finish his career on a winning team. Never thinking he would be traded at the eleventh hour. Also not sure what to do about his feelings for his new boss. They do not even get along most of the time. Such a great addition to the series! A very slow burn, and you know how I love those. So many surprises in this story to enhance the read. Hockey is always scrumptious to read about, and with a very hot couple who cannot stop touching each other - HOT! I give ...

This is an anthology of Hockey stories, centered around a championship team. I chose Deep Check by Kimberly Kincaid for my review. These books can be read as a standalone novel, but are more fun when read together. Finn and January have a history. One that goes back to high school. The last time they saw one another, their friendship was ruined. Then tragedy struck. Can they repair the pain and move on? January wants to forgive Finn. It was not his fault she has been hot for him for years. She does not want a repeat of last time. Maybe they have both grown enough to make a better future. This story was so bittersweet. They are both missing their buddy. These characters have so much heat and heart. I was truly excited to turn each page! I give this anthology a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!
