This is book #4, in the Briar U series.   This can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader understanding, and to avoid spoiler, I recommend reading this series in order. Conor was a typical party guy who loved being a player.  Lately he has found himself being played.  Girls just want to get with him to brag that they caught a hockey player.  He is doubting a lot of things lately. This book is #2.5, in the Him series .  This book should not be read as a standalone.  It is best to read these in order and appreciate the goodness that is this incredible series. We go back to the lives of Wes & Jamie.  It is short and sweet but like all stories in the  Him series , it is worth every moment.  Jamie is at a crossroads about to move up in his Coaching job.  Wes is still doing what he does best.  Loving Jamie and making headlines as a star.  Now with their lives ahead of them - the best really is yet to come.  I love every visit we have to  this series.   Was overjoyed to spend time with this amazing couple.  I give this read a 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP! short story   Contemporary   Epic   Sports   Hockey   novella

This is book #3, in the Briar U series.   This story can be read as a standalone novel.  To avoid the spoilers, and truly enjoy the series, I recommend reading these in order. Hunter had last season end badly.  He is determined to have a better year, and be the best Captain of his hockey team.  Then he met temptation. Demi has a boyfriend and is fine with adding Hunter to her huge list of guy friends.  He turns out to be an interesting study buddy.  While there is definitely an attraction there, they both know its off limits. I eagerly anticipated this story and was not disappointed!  These characters bring it all.  I enjoyed their heat and it made the sexy times hotter.  Was great that some of our absolute faves came to visit.  This was a great read.  I give this a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This copy was given in exchange for an honest review.

Jake wants to do the right thing by his team.  They count on him and look to him to lead.  Is it bad he is wanting the girl on of them used to be with?   Brenna cannot stand Jake.  He has given her more than enough reason to want to lash out.  So how come his name came up when she needs a pretend boyfriend? Theirs is a complicated story.  Being on different sides never stops anyone when feeling are involved.  These characters were more than the outside shows.  While they are both beautiful people, they both have pain from the past they must overcome.  I found their getting together inspiring.  Strong souls who fight for the heart.  I give this read a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Keaton AKA LobsterShorts is chatting online with a guy whom he believes can share a night of fun.  He wants to give his girlfriend a great birthday and it intrigues him once they get to talking.  Maybe there is more to this....... Luke AKA SinnerThree loves chatting with his new buddy.  He looks forward to it, in fact.  When he finds out it is the neighbor who basically hates him he is not sure how to take it.   These characters have a lot of charm and just want to have some fun.  I truly love the banter and heat that builds.  Excited to see if it will become a series, as these guys were just a great read.  I give this story a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This ARC copy was given in exchange for an honest review.
