Kitty's Book Spot!

This is book #3, in the Arden St Ives series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To avoid spoilers, and to have a complete understanding of this series, I recommend reading this series in order. Arden is trying hard to move on.  He knows he will always love Caspian, but he cannot be with someone who does not want him there.  He goes about his life as if this is how it will be from now on. Caspian will always love Arden.  He just made up his mind to go another direction.  When the worst happens, can he walk away from someone he loves who is hurting? I expected to hate this book.  I was so invested in these characters I hated to see them apart.  So how grateful was I as I read further and further along and was excited to see them show how they could be in each others lives in other ways.  What an amazing story and a terrific ending!  I give this a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Winnie has known Holden most of her life.  He made her feel bad in her youth.  Now he is more of a white knight.  Can she forgive him about the past? Holden is trying to gain the trust of those he has wronged in his youth.  He has grown up and past the angst that plagued him back then.  Now, he is hoping most for the trust of one specific woman.  The one he has always wanted. Sadie has to be strong.  Her family is counting on her to take them through this trying time.  What she wants or needs does not seem to be relevant, as long as she can hold it together. Griffin also is going through some awful things right now.  He can see that he has to be strong for his daughter and all that is going on.  Can he be strong for Sadie too? This book in #6 in the Hometown Players series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader understanding, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this outstanding series in order. Alex is known for being the party boy.  He is tired of the routine, and wanting something more.  He finally meets someone worth waiting for. Brie is not impressed with Alex when she meets him.  He comes across as a dumb jock.  When they meet again, she is shocked he has found her and wonders how and why? This was a fast paced whirl of feelings.  I love the banter between these characters.  The cameos made by earlier beloved characters made it all the more fun.  This series is always a go to read and worth every turn of the page!!  I give this a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

This is book #2, in the Maverick Junction series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading this great series in order. Ty has a lot on his plate.  His triplet sons were left without a mom when his wife died.  Between that and his ranch, he does not get to change the lonely life he leads.  Meeting Sophie makes him nervous.  He knows he wants her, but he knows what wanting her means.  He also knows what losing someone feels like. Sophie is completely out of her element in Texas.  Chicago, where she calls home is more her speed.  She loves city life.  She does not understand cows.  No one can explain the sudden electricity between her and Ty.  Nor does she want to do anything about it.  Except she does.... This is the 6th book in the highly acclaimed Alpha Ops series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  This is a great series, and those who read in order will find it is easier to understand and enjoy. Malone "Mal" and Abby meet when he cannot take just watching her anymore.  He sets up a chance for her to rescue him.  She takes the bait.   Abby is a CIA agent keeping watch on the Russian/Ukraine border.  Her father does not know she is a fully trained field agent.  He sends Mal to watch over his daughter. Kate and James go back to high school and prom.  So when they see one another again it is with surprise.  And a ton of sparks flying..... James has always thought Kate was hot.  Now he thinks she should hand out ice.  He is trying to figure out how to approach her when fate takes over.   Kate wants to stop dreaming about him.  Well, maybe.  He is just so sexy and what is a girl to do?  She agrees to help him, that's what.  Now, maybe if some of the fake could be real? This is the 2nd book in The Forbidden Realm series .   You can read this book as a standalone novel.  For full understanding and reader enjoyment read the titles in this series in order. Nic and Lianne have a lot going against them.  They both come with secrets they do not or cannot share.  They both have a goal and mission they must complete. Lianne is quite the badass woman lead in this story and is worth reading about.  Nic is a bit unexpected, since he has so much on his plate and still gets things done.  Their very lives are in danger and there are twists in this story......I won't be a spoiler though. This is book # 5 in the Alpha Ops series .   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  It is my recommendation for full understanding and comprehension for the reader, this series should be read in the order intended.  It does not disappoint. Simon and Sadie have a complicated past.  Now it appears they will have a complicated future as well.  Sadie cannot tell him about her training and op.  He cannot talk about his either. Sadie was hurt by his actions in the past.  Can she forgive what he does now?  She cannot seem to stay away from the magnetic pull that draws her to him.  The attraction still pulls at them both.  The sparks are flying! This is book # 4 in The Bennetts series .   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  It is part of an amazing and fulfilling series.  Reader enjoyment and understanding are better when read in the order intended. Trevor is fascinated with Sofie even before they meet.  Afterwards, he cannot stop thinking about her.  While he sees the beauty on the surface like everyone else, he also understands by looking into her eyes that there is so much more to her. Sofie is immediately attracted to Trevor, even before they are introduced.  The pull of him is stronger than any other man she has come into contact with.  Too bad she is so scarred from the pain and the past where man have used her as a pawn. I found this story absolutely fascinating.  It shows more powerfully how looks can be deceiving.  I think it also is telling of how even beauty can be a vice.  I loved this addition to the series!  I give this book a 4/5 Kitty'...
