Title: Torn Author: S. Nelson Genre: Contemporary Romance Release Date:  December 15, 2015       Torn – to be disrupted by the pull of contrary forces; "torn between love and hate"   Eli Warner had his whole life mapped out. He planned on proposing to his girlfriend, earning his law degree, then living happily ever after with the woman of his dreams. But in the blink of an eye, his entire world crashed down around him when the love of his life abandoned him, leaving him with nothing but a note.   Kalista Ellington made the best decision she could at the tender age of nineteen. Afraid and alone for the first time, she left the one person who meant the world to her, believing his future was better off without her in it. Little did she know, fate was ready and willing to step back in and throw them together, no matter how much either one of them resisted.   When Kalista finally returns home after fourteen years, can E...

My heart cannot heal

Kalista and Eli have a history full of passion, friendship, and love.  When she left, Eli basically fell apart. Not knowing why did the most damage to him. Eli has tried moving on, but what happens is he ends up basically a player who does not want to play.  He has no intention of loving anyone ever again.  The past still hurts and haunts him. Kalista moves back to town, after a tragedy occurs.  The hardest part about moving back is she knows she has to answer to Eli.  She will try to get closure and let him know what really happened. Eli and Kalista are meant to be together and anyone who sees them knows this.  The adjustment of a child, coming back home and seeing Eli again is twisting Kalista up.  Can they forgive and move on? Very sweet and powerful story!  I was impressed with the honesty and heartfelt feelings that were shown in this book.  I loved the heat and passion they have for one another.  This book gets a 4...

Never wanted anything more

This story concludes the trilogy that surrounds Sara and Alek's story.  While you can read it by itself, as a standalone novel, it is more enjoyable if you read the whole series in order.  This is the 3rd book in the Addicted Trilogy. Alek is surprised and enraged as we begin this book.  Sara has been taken and he knows by whom.  He blames himself for not watching her close enough.  He believes if he never got involved with her, never started to see her in stead of hide in the shadows, she would have not been found by a sicko. There is more than just one enemy coming for her an Alek in this latest installment.  Outside of fighting for their lives, they must decide if they can hold on to each other and make a commitment a reality.  Can Alek forgive himself long enough to see a future with Sara? Sara does not hold Alek responsible for what happened.  She knows her past was hiding in the shadows and was bound to catch up with h...

Sara and Alek's story continues in the 2 nd  book in the  Addicted Trilogy . This book can be read as a standalone, but for reader enjoyment I recommend starting with the 1 st  book in the series, Addicted. (I f you missed the review for this title, CLICK HERE .) This book is about the relationship or lack there of between Sara and Alek. Their love story is complicated by many things. Sara and Alek both have had such a painful past, that they are trying so hard to have a better future. Sara is scared, and with good reason. She has found out that Alek lied to her for an extended period of time. Most people would not forgive this action. Sara is not most people. Alek steps up and forces the truth on Sara with the help of her friends. When she finds out the real reasons behind the deception, she is pacified a bit. They work through as much as they can – but it is like starting fro the beginning. The trust must be earned all over again. Together they are stro...

What is the truth?

Sara Hawthorne meets Alek Devera out at her shop and later at a club, that she later finds out he owns.  He seems to turn up at many places she is at.  Sara treats as a coincidence.  She figures why would he follow little old me around town? Alek feels for Sara what he has never felt for anyone else.  Both of them having pain filled pasts, it is not easy to trust a stranger.  After the initial meet and later how he takes her home and keeps her safe, they gain a friendship of sorts. Sara cannot help the attraction she feels and the tingling every time he is near.  When he seems to return the attraction and the sparks are a flyin' - they cannot seem to keep their hands off one another whenever they are in the same room.  He seems to always be holding something back, but not for the reasons she assumes. They both want to try to have a relationship.  There are many factors that could bring it crashing down.  Denying their feelings is...
