Kitty's Book Spot!

This is a new book to start out The Weavers Circle series.   Clay is being chased by something that just smells.  It smells awful and he cannot figure out why he is running for his life from this and its awful smell.  Then when he arrives where he finds he should be, he meets the most amazing man. Dane is being paid well to repair an old home that is coming to be a beauty again.  He is accompanied by people he is finding are more strange than he even though at the beginning.  He is also starting to feel things for one of them.  Can he even trust them? One of the most intriguing urban fantasy stories I have read in such a long while, I am loving these characters so much.  Each and every one of them are deep and fun with incredible personalities.  While at a fast pace, the action and excitement never stops.  I literally could not put this book down, it felt like losing an appendage!  I cannot wait for the next story in this...

Dane is the local Supernatural Consultant.  Whenever a being that is not human may be causing trouble, he is the one everyone calls.  Then he gets a request to control some dragons.   Mercury is a precious and rare dragon.  He starts a family with his helping other dragons who were trapped and experimented on by human scientists.  While he is ill, the kits meet Dane and soon he sees they look like a family. I was absolutely surprised by this story.  I loved reading about the dragons, and different features they each had.  Such an imaginative and colorful book.  The story is weaved with a mystery that has captivated me and now I want to read the next installment to  this series . Al, short for Alchemy, I know - right?  Poor character.  It's sure different.  Anyway, Al has several men in his circle he could choose.  He currently has a love interest who takes him for granted, is already cheating with him on his partner, and is kinda testy when pushed. Finn is someone who believes in magic, the universe, and is a touch jaded.  Hugh is a mentor who has some serious issues.  In the ways of love, however, we are not always thinking with a logical part of our brain. I found this story to be full of surprises for the reader!  Each character has its own quirky and individual personality.  That was the best part of the book.  I had a hard time with a bit of the fact that I felt the main character was taken advantage of.  That could just be my own interpretation, of course.  Overall a funny read.  I give this story a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
