This is book #2, in the Trident Security: Omega Team series .  This can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader to completely understand, I would recommend readers read in the order intended. Darius is undercover with a hellish drug lord, when in comes more women for his human trafficking ring.  This one he recognizes.  She is someone who can blow his cover too. Princess Tahira has no idea where she and her cousins have been taken to.  She must escape or fall victim to the worst sort of crime.  Good thing a hero is there in the shadows. This book is the 4th in The O'Malleys series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader understanding and enjoyment, I recommend reading this series in order. Jude has sinister plans for someone near Sloan.  His past is full of secrets and lies.  What could he ever hope to offer someone as innocent as she? Sloan has her own past full of secrets.  She has her own lies she needs to tell.  Jude is just eye candy until her curiosity cannot resist.   This series just leaves me breathless!  Just when I think nothing can surprise me.... well, I am not a spoiler so you will have to read it to find out.  Know that this author never leaves you wanting.  The characters are very rich and compelling in all sorts of ways.  I give this book a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This ARC copy was given in exchange by Netgalley and its publisher for an honest review.

George AKA "Geo" and his best friend Alex AKA "Lex" are well known for their podcast about True Crime.  It has humor, and talks about things others do not like to discuss.  Many family members are not good about it - and dating?  Forget it. Lex and Geo have never met.  They talk every day, and their friendship is solid.  Others find this weird, of course.  No one really understands these two but them.  Love must come next, right? James Deacon met Trevor "Trav" Barrow when Trav came to visit his sister in the bar she works at.  Deacon had just officially retired from SWAT, and was drinking the decision away.  The attraction was immediate and mutual. Trav is gun-shy about relationships and never stays in one place for long.  He trusts only one person.  His sister.  Now, he has these feelings for Deacon that can only be wanting more. Deacon is hot for Trav right from the start.  If he can learn to not scare Trav away, maybe that had a real chance.  He sees the future they could have in his dreams, but Trav is not known for sticking around. This book is # 18 in the Temperance Brennan series .   This book does well as a standalone novel.  It is a bit easier to understand when read in order with the given series. Temperence Brennan has another string of murders that get her into a situation again in this current installment of the police procedural series.  It starts off with the sinister crime and victim, making all who read it scared from the start. My love for the books and the characters has not changed.  I am however, at a place where I feel the storyline is getting a bit too regular.  I want Temperance to choose a man, be more aware of what she is doing, and maybe show more character development after all these books.  Otherwise, it is a good mystery novel to read.  I give it a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This ARC copy was provided by Netgalley.com and its publisher for review purposes only.
