This is book #2, in the Supernatural Consultant series.   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To avoid spoilers, and to understand the series, I recommend reading this series in order. Dane is trying to find a family who is on the run. He needs to try and figure out where they might be before danger finds them first.  It distracts him, but he still makes time for the eight other dragons who demand his attention. Mercury, meanwhile, has a new partner at work.  She is tough as nails and seems to want to drive the investigation.  They are looking for what they hope is a copycat and not a greater problem. The story goes at a fast pace.  Characters that have all kinds of personalities pepper the book.  I love the mystery weaved throughout.  Plenty of humor is dashed inside as well.  This is such a great read and well worth the time I spent reading it. I give this a 4/5 Kitty Paws UP! ***This copy was gi...

Karma

Grant is an amazing police officer.  If only he could translate that to his personal and love life.  His best friend, Lee is able to be fun and get out there.  Why is it so hard to find someone? Lee wants to help his best friend.  He sees Grant as a gentle giant, and wants to help him meet someone worthy of his time and attention.  Lee himself has had issues with finding someone for himself as well.  Can two best friends help each other find true love? This book was funny and charming.  With a little crazy thrown in for good measure. I will not spoil the story, but I will tell you there is a little bit of everything in there.  I found the humor to be silly, the banter to be fun, and the lead characters to be great to read.  I found myself rooting for them pretty early on in the book.  I give this a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This early copy was given in exchange for an honest review.

What

Image
Cal comes home for the holidays to meet his sisters new beau, only to find he is already intimately acquainted with him.  His ex stands there and they treat one another like strangers.  Can he even call him an ex?   Andrew has been the one that got away.  The one who broke his heart.  He has tried to move on, but failed miserably.  Now with someone new on the horizon he is not even sure to pursue it since Andrew is back in his life.   This was such a reality check.  I loved the way it was handled.  I also love the author telling the story as it would have happened in real time.  I can only hope we get to see it on a big screen someday.  I give this read a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This early copy was given in return for an honest review.

Family

Image
Dane is the local Supernatural Consultant.  Whenever a being that is not human may be causing trouble, he is the one everyone calls.  Then he gets a request to control some dragons.   Mercury is a precious and rare dragon.  He starts a family with his helping other dragons who were trapped and experimented on by human scientists.  While he is ill, the kits meet Dane and soon he sees they look like a family. I was absolutely surprised by this story.  I loved reading about the dragons, and different features they each had.  Such an imaginative and colorful book.  The story is weaved with a mystery that has captivated me and now I want to read the next installment to  this series . I was eagerly turning the pages and recommend this lovely read.  I give this read a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This copy was given in exchange for an honest review only.

Repair

Image
David left for college a broken young man trying to build a new life.  Coming home to care of his father, he must rebuild again.  Past loves and friendships become new again and then he must choose. Nick is still struggling to get his life started.  Starting over after his divorce, he soon finds out his childhood best friend has moved back.  Can he repair the hurt he caused and allow them to start over? This was a complete slow burn.  The story moved at a slower pace than I usually like, but I loved it all the same.  The characters were sweet and sexy, and easy to fall for.  Rooting for them to be together seemed right.  I loved the honesty and richness to the story.  I give this read a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This copy was provided by Netgalley and its publishers, in exchange for an honest review.

Run

Image
Hunter & Shawn work at the same hospital.  They admire one another from afar.  After tragedy strikes, they have a moment full of passion.  Hunter finds he cannot resist Shawn. Shawn is on the run.  He tried to have the law help him, but what he found out is that he has to help himself.  He never wanted to involve Hunter, but resisting him is no possible. This was kind of a slow burn, with bursts of heat.  It had a good mystery, and the pace is steady.  I liked the characters and hope to see more of them in this  new Heart And Haven series.   I give this a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This copy was given in exchange for an honest review only.

Gabe is sick of the long boring commute to work.  He is also sick and tired of hook ups that go no where.  Trying one app just one more time he hits the proverbial jackpot.  Now all he has to do is convince Mark he is worth taking the chance. Mark is very attracted to Gabe and he is not afraid to show it.  He finds the best locations to meet up and make sure to get alone time with the amazing Gabe.  The only catch here is he really wants to take it to be something more.  Is it time to try? This short story is a sweet tickle of hotness.  The book itself may be small, but the content is still very HOT!  Nice treat for any avid romance reader.  I give this a 3/5 Kitty Paws UP! ***This early copy was given in exchange for an honest review.

Hope

Nick meets Alex when he comes in to the club where he is working.  He cannot help but feel the good looking guy seems sweet.  Then he finds out he is everything. Alex has found himself living a good life without any happiness.  He has a lot to be grateful for, but not what he has always wanted.  When he meets a man who is following his own dreams, he second guesses where he is and where he is going. This book was like a chapter out of a persons life.  I felt like I was watching it take place.  I loved the sexy times since they were full of heat.  The banter was cute, and the pace of the story was good.  These characters give us a good solid read.  I give this a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This ARC copy was given in exchange of an honest review, by Netgalley and its publishers.
