Kitty's Book Spot!

This is book #2, in the VIP series.   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For understanding the series, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order. Sophie meets Gabriel on the airplane to a new job.  Only to find out he is basically her new boss.  Can she fight the attraction that is thrumming between them? Gabriel AKA "Scottie" find himself annoyed, and then enchanted by Sophie.  She is getting under his skin quickly.  Is it even possible to resist at this point? Drew experiences a tragedy and the whole family comes together to help him and Trent.  Little does he know what is being done and said while he is not there to witness.  Good thing this family is built solid. Trent faces his own fears as well as an old enemy who tries to come between his happiness.  With his family around him, can he stay strong?  When it all comes down to it love will always find a way. This is book #2, in the Starting From series.   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To avoid spoilers, and to further understand the series, I recommend reading these in order. Charlie is Zero's manager.  He is trying to promote this new band, and he is sure they will be successful.  He just has to control his feelings for Ky, so it does not interfere in his job. Kyle AKA "Ky" is attracted to Charlie and he is not sure he should be.  Every time they are in the room together, it is quite the sparkler!  Even their bandmates have noticed.   Such a fun read.  I love the banter.  These characters are fun, & a very rich and emotional investment.  I also loved seeing some of the previous favorites in this one.  There was heat, a little mystery, and some serious story.  Cannot wait for the next installment!  I give this a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This early copy was given in exchange f...

Wynn has been with Holden for a decade, and he puts up with quite a bit to be able to be with him.  Holden has a very public job, and Wynn must stay private.  This is a tricky subject for them. Along comes some surprises, that were not what Wynn signed up for.  He meets someone new that he is attracted to, and then begins the actual love triangle.  This is where Wynn must choose what is really right for him and his future. This story was a challenge for me.  You get to where you root for the couple and then the surprises kick in and it all goes - boom!  In this book we have many outside factors, and it made the story both fun and frustrating.  Always love this author's stories, though.  Keeps me entertained.  I give this book a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
