Shocking

The book starts out right in your face with its title.  Are your kids naked online?  The answer is probably, yes.  I was pleasantly surprised to see in the first half of the book that I am a pretty decent parent.  I was already doing many of the suggested ideas.   What was fascinating that I had not seen anywhere else, was this serious manual, provides a list of what kids are saying online.  "New language" that they use to keep us, the parents, in the dark.  The writers also tell us if you register your copy of the book, they will send you more to add to that list.  I highly encourage you to do so. While this incredible text also goes over apps, social media, and the like - it is imperative that I remind you of something the author said that I felt was epic and critical.  "No app should be permitted to be used by kids until parents have completely vetted it."  This is just a start on the great ideas and "parent-isms" that ...

This is book #2, in the Dirty Martini Running Club series.   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader understanding, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this sexy series in order. Hazel finds out not long after taking a new position at a new location, that her nemesis is speaking there as well.  Now she is second guessing her choice to change employers.  Then she gets to know the man she thinks of as her enemy.  Or does she? Corban has an equal hate for Hazel.  Now he has a face and body to put to the name.  If only he wasn't outrageously attracted to the enemy.  He wants to kiss her right?  Or does he want to make her mad?  He cannot decide.  Is is possible to want both? I am going to be completely honest here.  I usually hate the trope of enemies to lovers.  I really have not been a fan.  This particular story was much anticipated, so I am not sure if that played a part.  Al...

This is book #2, in the Bad Angels series.   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For read understanding and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order. Zoe loves her job.  She has come a long way but her life is now in a good place.  Until she crashes in front of Connor.  Somehow him taking care of her puts everything in a new light. Connor has always wanted Zoe.  She has no idea how he wants her.  When he has the chance to be with her, he has no problem taking it.  It's the after he is afraid of. I loved how these characters were together.  The sexy heat of them was just hot.  The pace of the book was good.  I enjoyed seeing them together and hoped for more.  This is an author who delivers.  The humor helped it to be fun.  I found myself eagerly turning the pages.  Overall it is a really good read.  I give this a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This early copy was give...

Audiobook Review for Leaning Into The Fall

This is book #3, in the Leaning Into series.   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To avoid spoilers, and to better understand the series, I recommend reading it in order. Nick is a tech genius, who tends to forget everything when he is making better things happen in the lab.  For real life and relationships - he does not do so well.  In the middle of a deal with a deadline, he is hoping for a miracle.  Hoping he can still trust those closes to him. Wes owns an amazing winery where Nick purchased some wine.  They meet when Nick goes to the winery, and unexpectedly has the worst run of luck he has had in some time.  Despite all the animosity and attraction crackling in the air, Wes does his best to be kind to Nick. This story actually surprised me.  I was not a big fan of Nick's character after reading the first couple books int he  series.   His story made me understand him, and why he does what he does better...

Friends and lovers

This is the 3rd book in the Friends First series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader enjoyment and further understanding of series involvement, I recommend reading the books in order. Allison and Jared have known each other through her brother.  Jared has stayed away from Allison since her family is basically the only one that he has ever had that truly accepted him.   Jared is being asked now by Allison to help her be more outgoing and make friends.  She wants his help to know what attracts a man for a woman.  She is sick of sitting on the sidelines while everyone around her has a life. This was a terrific read!  I think this series is phenomenal and have enjoyed every book!  I love the characters, the banter, and the heat.  Very hot and sweet book.  I give this story a 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This ARC copy was given by Netgalley and its publisher in exchange for an honest review. ...
