Code Name: Ghost (Jameson Force Security, Book #5) Sawyer Bennett Release Date: June 30, 2020       Synopsis:   I knew the risks of this job when I signed on with Jameson Force Security. Knew my time as a marine would prepare me for the danger I would face. But no amount of training could have ever prepared me for the helplessness of watching my teammates die, the agonizing mental and physical pain of torture, or the despair of captivity. Returning home to Pittsburgh following a mission gone wrong, I am riddled with guilt and haunted by nightmares. I spend my days trying to regain the parts of myself I lost in that desert, the pieces that made me the Malik Fournier I once was. While the physical effects of my torture are fading, the emotional ones are proving much more stubborn and I find solace from the last person I should ever seek such comfort. Anna Tate lost even more than I did in that mission. Now a widow and a single mom to the daughter s...

Blast

This is #7, in the Wicked Horse Vegas series.   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader understanding, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order. August is happy being a hedonist.  He enjoys women, and sex and is not ashamed of his hobbies.  Then a surprise blast from the past blows him away with a visit. Leighton is someone who knew August in his past.  They were supposed to have a future that was ripped away.  Can he and Jameson Force Security help when it is lives on the line? This story had so much to it.  It was nice to connect the series that I love to read.  I was happy with the references to the other books.  The characters felt disconnected to me somehow.  I had a hard time placing the story with the people I was reading about.  It is still a good read, but not the kind I am used to from this author.  I give this read a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This early c...

This is book #2, in the Jameson Force Security series.   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To avoid spoilers, and to better understand the series, I recommend reading it in the order intended. Cruce is proud to be a part of a new group.  While different, yet still the same intention, he works well with his team and glad to do it.  Then he meets his new assignment.  She is sure to be a challenge, but he vows to keep her safe.   Barrett is having a hard time believing anyone would need to harm her.  She barely lives - so what is to come to her to accomplish?  Her ideas can be great, but until she puts them into action it still seems awfully premature.  Then the unspeakable happens...... This couple was just a spark, dare I say a kiss, away from igniting.  They are both professionals who take their jobs seriously.  Like all of this author's books - it is fast paced while at the same time sexy as hell....
