Kitty's Book Spot!

This is book #6.5 from the Dare To Love series.   This book can be read as a standalone novel, but I would not recommend this.  Reading these in order helps to avoid spoilers and gives a full understanding of such a deliciously sexy family series. Ian misses alone time with his wife.  Surprises can be fun.  He plans a Christmas present for both by making the time. Riley cannot believe how tired she is lately.  She is wishing she had more time for all the directions she feels pulled in. This was a short, sexy, and sweet stop back into see where the characters were in their lives.  My only complaint was that it was too short.  My joy was that they are great together.  I give this a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This copy was provided for review purposes only.

This is book #2 in the Stories From The Shore series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader enjoyment and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading in order.   Anthony AKA "Tony" & Walter have a hot and heavy history that Tony is sure had its time and has since burned out.  However, fate has more than one surprise in store for this couple.  Can time and proximity change the result this time? This book was such a roller coaster ride!  Lots of happenings in such a small package.  The MC's have excellent chemistry, however, I wish we had seen more actual couple time.  This series seems to be heating up.  Cannot wait to see what is next.  I give this story a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This ARC copy was given in exchange for an honest review only.

Lucy plays a princess by day and is looking for her prince charming by night.  While having her brother and his best friend and business partner watch over her.  Too bad his partner pushes all her buttons, since he is not even in her league. Jared stopped thinking of Lucy as a little sister when he got a good look at her legs.  She attracts him on several levels, but he does not want to mess up a good friendship with her brother by acting on that attraction.  Still, he cannot help the way he feels. This is an amazingly sexy and fun story.  It puts so many elements together in a terrifically sweet package.  The characters banter, the ocean views, well... let's just say if it were a movie opening weekend would blow the critics away.  I loved the simple and strong characters and all that they are to one another.  I cannot wait to see more with this theme.  In my opinion, this is the author's best work to date.  I give this book a 5...

This is the 2nd book in The McNeill Magnates series.   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To enjoy the series without spoilers, I always recommend reading them in order. Ian had set out to find who nearly ruined his brother's public image.  He find out who it was and it is a shocker!  Only to turn around and want to keep her for himself. Lydia has a hot and sexy past with the intimidating Ian.  She also has a secret she has not yet shared with him.  Is there any kind of future for them after such a rocky start? This is book #6 in the Trident Security series .   This book can be read as a standalone.  Characters and situations in the book refer to earlier stories in the series, so I recommend reading the stories in order . Brody & Fancy are attracted to one another right from the start.  Both have secrets from the past that they are not sure how to share.  They have more in common that at first glance. Fancy has been hurt and it is hard to move past that.  With all that is going on, do they even stand a chance?  Brody wants to make her his.  If she is ready to take a chance, forever is just a kiss away. This is book # 5 in the Trident Security series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  This series is best read in order, as each book has spoilers and information that would influence the reader for the book prior.  I recommend reading this series in order intended, for reader enjoyment and understanding. Marco has always wanted the beautiful and stubborn Harper.  She is his sister's best friend and he thinks that makes her off limits.  Following tragedy, they come together in sorrow and in passion. Harper has always felt deeply for Marco.  He had made his feelings known about family, children and no wife.  With outside interference changing the tides, they learn to live without one another. This is book # 4 in the Bowen Boys series .   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  The reader will get more understanding and enjoyment if this series is read in order.  There are many spoilers in the book, if this story is read first. Jack and Elle meet when her sister marries his closes friend.  After that, they just annoy the hell out of each other because it is fun.  In denial of all the sparks flying all around them, the onlookers are wondering who will get burned. When she is in danger, Jack runs to help her.  He berates himself for not being able to stay away, but he cannot stop himself.  Elle is just as guilty.  She relies on Jack without realizing that is what she is suddenly doing.  All the while, things heat up between them, and the kisses take on a life of their own. Roark and Essien have been circling each other for some time.  The whole town has followed their antics.  It is getting to where even Essien's daughter cannot take it anymore. Essien has decided enough is enough.  Can he love again?  Is this where he goes all in?  Well, after Roark has a scare - they find out for certain.  They also find out who their friends are. This is the 4th book in the Mangrove Stories series .   While this book can be read as a standalone novel, the enjoyment for the reader and understanding of the content will make more sense if read in order.   Lazlo and Britton had been together while they both lived up in New York.  Back in another life and time for both of them.  While Britton had been in a sham of a marriage, and Lazlo had been a rentable guy. Britton has moved to Mangrove, and so had Lazlo for different reasons.  While they know that one another is neaby, neither one wants anything to do with the other.  Some things are meant to stay broken, aren't they? This is such a fun story about a couple who just need to be honest with one another!  Sometimes taking a chance can bring forth the future you were looking for.  There is so much going on in this book, and yet it is a joy to read.  I give this story a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP!
