Kitty's Book Spot!

Luc is working for a charity who does not appreciate seeing his mistakes in the gossip rags.  While he does try his best, his semi-famous father is trying to make a comeback that is putting him in the sort of spotlight.  His friends and co-workers think he should try to date someone respectable and fix his good name. Oliver has always been interested in Luc.  This chance to get to know him, and play his significant other is not one he could pass up.  Knowing it won't be easy they agree and get on with their lives.  Then the hard part happens...... Conrad is in it to win it.  He and a few other gamers are given the chance to get to a convention full of players who enjoy the same game.  His reasons for wanting to win are his own.  The attraction he suddenty feels for another gamer shocks him.  Will he be brave and share some of himself? Alden has always been the one not good enough.  Finally he has a chance to prove he is good at something.  Something for himself.  He puts it all out there for someone who only gives him glimpses of himself.  He too, has his reasons to want to win.  Can they compromise somehow? Felicity has had many hits and they keep on coming.  Her kids are her life.  She lives in a town where her family gathers around them, but they are needy unto themselves.  She wants to stop living in the past and move on. Graham knows he must learn to live in the now.  It is hard when you have a child who cannot seem to forigve you your foibles.  With this new attraction to an old friend, can he discover what it means to make a new family? This is book #2, in the Getting Hitched In Dixie series.   While each book in this series in listed as a standalone and can be read that way, I recommend reading them in order.  Well worth it if you do. Violet comes to visit and help her sister.  She has crashed and burned recently with the bad breakup she has just experienced.  Then she meets Ford, and its like she just has to tell herself she is here to recover temporarily.   Ford never expects one woman to knock him off his feet.  Since they have met, he has felt like he always wants to be around her all the time.  Is it turning in your man card if you like being around someone so fun and full of life? This is book #3, in Flirting With Fame series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader understanding, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order. Layla is starting work at a new job in New York.  She wants to do well but it worried if anyone finds out about her past with her blog, it will be all over.  Secrets make it hard to move forward. Shane goes after what he wants - and he wants Layla.  Right from the beginning they share a spark and a sense of humor.  Can they make a future with the past staying hidden?  If it all comes out will they get past the deceit of a withheld story? The music business is treacherous at best, but the characters in this series are HOT and they know it.  This story was full of sizzle and sexy.  I loved that there was room for bonds of friendship to form under high pressure conditions too.  The characters were complicated and made for an interesting read....

This is book # 3 in the Harmony Pointe series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To avoid spoilers, and to fully understand the series, I recommend reading this series in order. Piper is very set in her ways.  She realizes she wants a family, like her siblings, but is not sure how to get that into her lifestyle of working on a construction crew.  She is well respected in her field, and has no prospects right now. Harley takes exception to Piper not acknowledging him in her life.  True they are friends.  The best of friends, really.  He has loved her for years and now wants her to see how much she loves him too. Jacob has been in love with Lincoln for a while.  They have had to live apart, since Lincoln would not give them a chance and hurt his best friend.  Jacob being his best friends little brother put a kink in the works. Lincoln is not sure what to do when Jacob not only comes back to town, but works with him as a smoke jumper as well.  He has paid his dues.  The only issue now is can Lincoln let Jacob run in danger and not blow his cover?  His feelings have been hidden and now they may come to light. Wren and Fuller have history.  That's right, and not the good kind either.  Wren had been hurt repeatedly by being treated so poorly by the "in" crowd, of which Fuller is the leader, basically. Fuller is getting into some trouble academically.  His coach has a plan - but does not want anyone to know.  So Fuller treats it as he is interested in Wren, instead.  Little does he know how much truth is like fiction. This is book #4, in the Wynn Hockey series.   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To avoid spoilers, and to fully understand & appreciate the series, I recommend reading these in order. Harrison AKA "Harry" has found the woman he wants to marry.  Too bad she won't give him even the simplest coffee date.  He is not sure what he has done to turn her off.  Maybe he tried too hard? Arya has trauma and secrets in her past that she really does not want to share with anyone else.  Her best friend knows and that is enough.  If only she wasn't really attracted to a certain hockey hottie who makes her temperature rise! Willa meets the hunk of a lifetime while her friends are enjoying strippers.  She assumes he is one of them.  Instead he has a solid job, and a sexy body, and moves she has never before seen. Grady cannot believe he bargained a date with the most beautiful woman he has ever seen over a trip to the bathroom for three women.  He only knows he cannot wait to see her again.  He is rethinking all of his own ideas about dating after meeting Willa. Lucy and Riley have a secret.  Lucy hates Riley, but he is her guilty pleasure.  She is crazy attracted to him and can't seem to stop herself.  If has ruined her high school years, so far. Riley lives right next door.  The hockey star, and all around best looking student.  He needs her help now.  He wants to do all he can to stay on the team.  This could be Lucy's chance for some payback. Lilly is not known to have a one night stand.  When she does actually indulge, she feels free and like it was the right thing to do.  Later, she finds she is going to run in to Lincoln repeatedly.   Lincoln is glad to see Lilly again.  He was wondering what made her leave without any clue.  When they seem to be running into each other all the time, he hopes he can convince her to give them another shot.  Or will he be friend zoned? Walker is the one who takes care of her family.  She puts her family first, herself last.  Then she helps someone left behind at her family's bar.  It may be something out of the ordinary for her, but she is a good person.  Why is everyone so shocked? Mason is excited to get along with someone who does not know who he is.  His secret is safe, and the chemistry is hot!  Until they get to know one another better, and time is running out to tell her the secret he has kept close to his chest. Rook AKA "RJ" meets someone special when she literally falls into his lap.  Can he convince her to take a chance on him?  She has plans for her future, but he is blinded by wanting to be with her now. Lainey has been sheltered a bit.  She is a studious person who cannot believe someone as beautiful on the outside can be so sincere on the inside too.  Having a hot guy think she is hot stuff is new and she is out of sorts from it. This is book #3, in the Daring Divorcees series.   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader enjoyment, I recommend reading the entire series. Evelyn seems like she has a pretty great life.  Being a TV producer has its ups and downs, but overall she likes it.  Her best friend is a hunky firefighter and that is a big plus too.   Owen has wanted to be more in Evelyn's life.  Being her best friend is a perk, but he is always wishing for that "extra" chance.  Will he take it when it arrives?
