This is book 2 in the Edge of Scandal series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel, however, the series should be read in order for reader enjoyment and understanding. This is book 8 in the Fated Date Agency series .   This book can be read as a standalone.  I recommend reading them in order to understand the basic story inside the series, but it is not necessary.  It is also a fun series to read. Stefan and Langford have a history that only one of them remembers well.  When Stefan hears from the agency about his mate, he decides to contact him right away.  There are circumstances that may keep them apart.  He decides to go on with his life and find a new job. Langford wonders how he can have a mate, when he never contacted the agency.  He has enough on his plate as far as relationships go.  He does not want to mislead Stefan.  If only he could stay away from him and resist. This story is one of passion, friendship, and a little thing like fate.  I found this book to move at a good pace and the characters just drew me in quick!  This story was a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This ARC copy was given in exchange for an honest review.
