Kitty's Book Spot!

This is book # 5 in the Alpha Ops series .   This book can be read as a standalone novel.  It is my recommendation for full understanding and comprehension for the reader, this series should be read in the order intended.  It does not disappoint. Simon and Sadie have a complicated past.  Now it appears they will have a complicated future as well.  Sadie cannot tell him about her training and op.  He cannot talk about his either. Sadie was hurt by his actions in the past.  Can she forgive what he does now?  She cannot seem to stay away from the magnetic pull that draws her to him.  The attraction still pulls at them both.  The sparks are flying! This is book # 1 in the Second Shot series .   (There is a prequel so this is technically book # 2)  They should be read in order.  This will give the reader the background and understanding to make the books more enjoyable. Noah and Josie go way back.  He is her brother's best friend.  This makes her unreachable and a relationship they might have taboo.  Her brother does not want her to have feelings for him.  Too late. Josie has been in love with Noah almost from the beginning.  They got one special night together before he went away to boot camp.  Now, years later, it is awkward between them.  Josie needs a job, though, and she is sticking to her guns. Theodore AKA Theo meets James at a club.  Instead of exchanging names and numbers, they hook up.  Then, Theo stars his new job and finds out who James is. James has so much pain and hurt from the past.  From his own mother, he has been rejected and hurt many times.  How do you learn to love others if you have never learned to love yourself? Theo and James get together when the urge strikes them.  What if the urge to give a cuddle comes on?  Theo is usually a guy who is in a relationship.  Being a booty call is new for him. I loved how this book handles the hard subjects.  We learn about mental illness, love, and friendship all in the same story.  It was a terrific read and so hard to put down!  I give this book a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This ARC copy was given in exchange for an honest review.

This is book # 7 in the Fated Date Agency (also the Fated & Dominated) series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  The series makes more sense and there is further reader understanding when read in order. Haskel and Tuomo meet after it has been decided that an Omega must be sacrificed for the greater good.  In this case, Tuomo is the Omega that their leader has in mind.  He is single, no family, and the sacrifice needs to be made so that others can have food to survive. Tuomo is willing to do his part, he loves his pack.  Haskel has just found him and thinks there are other ways to solve this food problem.  Can he convince the leader that meeting his mate is more important? This was a quick and sweet look at what would happen if you met your mate, just to lose him.  I found this an easy read.  I have given it 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This ARC was given in exchange for an honest review.
