AUTHOR INTERVIEW with Tawny Weber:
What a fabulous question! To me, a true hero is someone who protects others at their own risk. Heroes put their wants, their needs and their lives on the line, safeguarding the lives and the well-being of those who can't. They are our military, our police force, our fire fighters, our security personnel. They secure our world so we can live in it.
2. Did you have a favorite book or series in your youth?
My early favorites were Louisa May Alcott's Little Women, Little Men, etc. I loved those stories! I read my copy of Little Women so often that the spine broke. The only tape I could find in the house to hold it together was electrical tape LOL.
3. Where is the most romantic place you have ever been?
I love the California coast, up toward Mendocino. It's a gorgeous combination of drama and romance. But for pure romance, Carmel is one of my absolute favorites.
4. Is there another genre of book you would ever want to write?
I'd love to write an epic fantasy style paranormal, but I know I'd have to weave romance into it because I do love romance! But the power of a huge story, complete with world building, magic and fantasy fills me with glee. It's on my someday list.
5. Have you got an opinion on the superhero movies that are out there? Do you absolutely have to fangirl about any of these superheroes?
I am a complete Marvel geek girl! I adore, obsess over and o.d on those movies. Captain America (all 3), Iron Man (not as crazy about the 2nd, although I appreciate it's impact from a storytelling perspective), Thor (mmm, Thor) and both Avenger films are awesome. I love them all but am currently crushing in a big way on Captain America.
6. What is the next book you will release?
My next big release is Call to Honor, which is out with HQN next February. It's a big book, and kicks off my Team Poseidon/SEAL Brotherhood series. Between now and then, I'm hoping to release my third Sexy SEAL novella, A SEAL's Surprise, this fall. I'll also have a fun novella out in December titled Call to Arms, which is a teaser prequel to the Team Poseidon series. I'm calling it fast, fun and sexy.
7. Have you ever had a favorite of the books you have written?
Oh, that's a tough question. Like being asked which of my kids is my favorite. The answer always depends on what day it is, what time it is and what is stressing me out. Of all the stories I've written, I do have a special place in my heart for A SEAL's Seduction because it kicked off my sexy SEAL series, and I loved the hero in A SEAL's Salvation because he was such a grump. As I finish line edits on it, I'm currently heavily in love with Call to Honor because it's a story that let me really expand my storytelling style and embrace the power of the 'big book'. I'm about 1/4 of the way through the second book in that series, Call to Engage, which will be out in July of 2017, and I can feel myself falling in love with it. I'm not quite there yet because it's still has too many 'beat my head on the desk' moments that always come in the early stages of discovering a story, but the pull is there. I'm sure it'll be true love before I’m finished.
8. Where is the best place to find you online?
The best place is my website, which is at TawnyWeber.com, since that has all of my news, book info and fun insights. I also have free reads there, recipes, hunky contests, and other forms of online enjoyment. I'm on Facebook and Twitter as well.
