The Hurricane - R.J. PrescottEmily McCarthy meets Cormac "the Hurricane" O'Donnell at the cafe where she works.  Then she end up working at the gym where he prepares for his fights.  What she does not know was he was in love with her before they even met.

Emily has problems with trust and men from her past.  Her stepfather beat her and abused her and her mother did nothing.  She moved to a new city with the help of a neighbor and enrolled in college.

Cormac was just blown over even watching her from a distance.  Once they meet, he does everything he can to be her friend.  He wants to be in her life any way that he can.  When she learns to trust him he knows they will have a future together.

Emily and Cormac end up together most days.  He is a good friend to her and their friends in turn become friends also.  When tragedy strikes who can she trust to help protect her from the nightmare of her past?

Such an amazing story.  I am not usually one to read about boxers, but this book just gives you all sorts of feels.  Right from the start I was rooting for them to get together.  This story just kept me laughing throughout.  Cormac and Emily just make sense as a couple.  I give this book a 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

This is the 2nd book in the Clearing The Ice series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  Since it is a series that continues, it is advised to read this series in order. Andrew and Caryn's story continues in this new installment.  Everything hits the fan when Andrew is hurt and it throws their life into chaos.  They find out who their real friends and family are that come to help. Caryn knows she does not want to live without Andrew.  He is just such a big part of her life.  When tragedy strikes, she learns who to trust and who to ignore. This book was full of emotions for me.  I felt the roller coaster ride that she was on.  I sure hope to read the next installment as this series is just amazing.  I give this book a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This ARC copy was given in exchange for an honest review.
