Not really
Beckett meets Lee since he wants to be the entertainment at his restaurant. Lee is kind of exasperated at first that his sister uses this as a solution for the sales falling. Then something unexpected happens.
Lee is suddenly interested in Beckett, and he is not sure what to do about it. I would have not had a problem with the trope itself. It for me, was that it was all so sudden. The book was short, and maybe for me I like the slow burn. I just really had to push myself to finish this one. I give this one 2/5 Kitty's Paws UP!
***I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
