Valley of the lovesick
Jaine meets Dylan when she applies to work for his company, Storybook Valley. She explains to him why he needs a head of marketing. He says he needs a Cinderella. So they compromise.
Jaine is already feeling like she is underwater with her twin sisters making her feel like the drab and forgotten little sister. One is getting married and using her to plan it, and one is using her as a babysitter.
Dylan has something to prove his family as well. He is always being sold short. They never give him credit for how hard and how often he is working to keep the family company afloat. That is where Jaine comes in. It does not hurt that he is incredibly attracted to her, or does it?
This is such a sweet and terrific version of a popular fairy tale. What a great start to the Storybook Valley series. I personally loved that the characters had so much to offer one another. This book gives you the "feels" and tells an incredibly warm story too. I give this story a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!
