This novella is book 2.5 from the acclaimed Heartbreaker Bay series .  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader enjoyment and understanding of the series, I recommend reading these in order. Rory has wanted Eve since he can remember.  He was kind of a tool in high school, but he feels like that was a missed opportunity.  Now, he thinks she hates him. Eve wishes she could hate Rory, since he is the subject of many a nights dream.  He is a very strong, virile figure who is very capable.  Can they confront the past and move on? I was surprised by this story arc, if I am honest.  I loved that the characters dug in and hashed everything out, even though they did not want to.  The honesty, the sparks that flew, and the crazy banter makes this a very attractive read.  I give this a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP! 

Matty loves Wells as much or more than he loves hockey.  For a hockey player, that is enough in itself.  Until family creates a divide and he must choose. Wells wants more with Matty than he can have, apparently.  He wants it all.  With Matty running scared from outside interference, Wells wonders will he ever get his happily ever after? This is such a great story.  Well written and going at a great pace.  The angst is real, the heat is super smoking hot, and the feelings jump off the page and grabbed me.  I cannot wait to hear more about these guys in upcoming books!  Worth every turn of the page, I give this story a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This ARC copy was given in advance for an honest review.

Avril is best friends with both Dane & Andrew.  They are always going places together and strengthening their bond.  Only this time, Dane does not want Avril to go. Dane more than wants Avril.  So does Andrew.  They also truly love her and want to keep her for a friend.  Will this experience taint all that they have worked for? This is a stunning example of best friends turned lovers.  I love how the author did not skip over the heavy details.  Instead, making the story arc about the reality of what comes next.  These characters are so intertwined, both hearts and minds - that it truly is love that takes them over the threshold here.  I give this book a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP! ***This ARC copy was given in return for an honest review only.
