Friends forever?
Ellie Palmer hates all cops and Brett Hale is no exception. Brett is a good person, and they have many friends in common. She has had bad experiences in her past where she felt no help from the RCMP, and so she lumps Brett in there too.
Brett understands all of this and is secretly trying to solve her "un-solveable" cases. To make matters even more difficult, she is again being stalked by her ex. He has gotten out of prison and thinks she wants him back. Not in this lifetime. To get her ex to make a mistake Brett's boss assigns him to play Ellie's girlfriend. This should bring him out of hiding.
Ellie has so much going on she feels like a leaf in the wind. Her mother makes a surprise visit, her ex is stalking her again, Brett is "playing" her boyfriend, and more! Little does she know that having a friend like him could be the best thing she ever gets. Can love come from such a great friendship and catch you unaware? Would they ever forget the kiss they shared?
Their banter is clever and fun. The book itself is very heartwarming and sweet. If you already fell in love with the Friends First series, you know what I mean. You will also be happy to note that the gang is back in this book too. I enjoyed this story and give it a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!
