Trust never comes easy
Dawn and Cade have a history. Yes, it is a brief one night stand kind of history that turned into two. Now Dawn is fighting for her kids and working for every penny. Suddenly Cade sees her and he is back into her life.
They air really sizzles when they are in the same room. They still fell hot for one another and it does not take too much convincing on Cade's part to fall into bed again. Dawn wants him all the time. She just has a past that makes bikers and clubs sour her stomach.
Dawn used to be married to "Mad Dog" who is the cliche of all bad and violent bikers. He set her up, took her kids, almost got her arrested, and now his sister is blackmailing her. There is no good to this. She sees no upside to her life. She is trying to make it on her own and so far - not very well.
Cade just wants to protect her and her girls. It is an instinct he has, and around her it flares up like a wildfire. He has only felt this way for Dawn, and no other woman. Trust does not come easy to either of them and it may take some more convincing to get her to believe what he says.
The story is so thorough about how the motorcycle clubs operate and this book comes together nicely. After a while, you cannot help but root for them to get together. If only bad stuff will stop happening to good people! Cade is a true hero at heart and I have faith in him. The real question her is - does Dawn? I give this book a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!
